Summary
The summer of 1976 is the hottest on record, and for James Potter and Lily Evans, the air is thick with more than just heat.
Coming off a disastrous fifth year at Hogwarts, the world outside the castle walls is changing faster than they can keep up. James is doing his best to grow up. But as he runs circles around his family’s countryside manor, he’s haunted by the feeling that he hasn't been a particularly good person lately. With his best friend reeling from a violent fallout and the pressure of a professional Quidditch career looming, James starts to wonder if playing games is enough when a war is knocking at the door.
