My hands met cold tile as I hit the wall, baccking up as quietly as I could. My eyes were fixed on the doors infront of me, too scared to even blink.
I shut the door to the stall, it made a small clicking sound whivh caused my stomach to drop.
I had been camping with my friends in an isolated, fully registered camping spot in the Appilacian mountains. We went to the shower block after dark, despite being warned maybe 20 times.
That's when we saw it. God it was horiffic.. pale, tall, with limbs that streched too long. It lookef human enough, but so wrong. Jamie had ran screaming, and I heard as it had got her, chased her, teared her skin from her bones. I heart the crunch of her bones, her agonized screams
Until it went silent. Too silent.
The creature was blocking the enterance, and I was crouched on a toilet. Like the flimsy stall could save me now. Maybe, if I was quiet enough...
I heard the doors crash open, with such a loud crack it was as if the hinges had snapped off.
I covered my mouth with my hand, desperate to be quiet, to stop the sobs from escaping. It was looking for me, it knew I was here.
I could hear it, opening toilets and showers and lockers with such aggression it terrified me.
And then it went silent.
Not gradually, not as if it had given up.
Just, silence.
I didn't dare move. Maybe this was a test, to make me feel false security?
Drip. Drip. Drip.
Something fell onto my lap, my head. It came from above. It smelly of rot. So slowly I looked as if I wasn't moving, I lifted my heaf up.
And there it was.
Staring right at me.
With a sickening smile, like a spoiled child with a new toy.
