Summary
Iris built her career on staying invisible. As a backstage photographer hired to cover a major festival tour, blending into the background is part of the job, capture the moments, avoid becoming one of them. Which would be easy if she weren’t photographing the band she’s loved since she was fifteen. Especially Ashton Irwin. Iris is determined to act professional around him, but the plan falls apart within seconds of their first meeting when she accidentally blurts out an obscure piece of fan lore only a die-hard fan would know.
Calling her out when she stares. Standing too close during shoots. Throwing her off balance, “Thought you’d know I look better from this angle, sweetheart.”
But beneath the playful torment and unbearable tension, something unexpected begins to form. Because Iris doesn’t treat Ashton like a celebrity. She treats him like a person. And Ashton—used to cameras, crowds, and people wanting pieces of him—finds himself constantly seeking out the one girl trying desperately not to want anything at all.
