Summary
When things fall apart after Boxing Day, Ilya rides the season out with hopes of reconciliation and coming back together. Shane, already anticipating the worst, shocks the world as he announces his signing and trade with the Vancouver Spartans, one of sixteen teams in the Western Conference.
Ottawa, Montreal, and Boston are in the Eastern Conference. This is six years after things and rivalries ended between Shane and Ilya.
