Got front row seats to my.. funeral? I know it seems like, it was tragic, close the casket. You can't change what's, in the past, yeah.

Summary:

"Two choices,
One that will destroy the world, one that will fix it.
Are you sure your ready? You could lose yourself in the process."

I exhale shakily.

"I'm ready."

Notes:

So, first off, Spoiler warning:
Anyways, forget about what happened in season 4 except that everyone knows Lloyd is the master of life, that'd the only thing that matters, also, I'm not the best at writing so bear with me, warning: angst ahead. Have fun.
(I'll add tags as I go along)

Chapter Text

I stare up at the sky, praying, hoping, that there was some other way, it couldn’t end like this, no, it can't.

"No! Please, don't do it, I'm begging you!"

I ignore him, placing my hand on the ground, I've made up my mind.

I can feel the power flow through me, imbuing itself into the ground, I can feel the earth slowly healing, through my fingertips.

"I'm sorry.. please.. forgive me."  I whisper, my voice deadly quiet, only he can hear me.

My hand turns a ghostly white, I can feel my soul slipping away, sliver, by sliver, until.. until..

A few hours earlier.

"Ugh, why are we out here again?" Sora questions, poking something with a stick.

"We're here because there was a sighting of Ras, we need to stop him before he can cause any more damage," I say, rolling my eyes.

Kai walks up beside me.

"Hey, Lloyd? I think we should head back, we haven't found anything, and it's nearly dark, we can continue in the morning."

I don't reply for a few seconds, then sigh, "Your right, we should probably head back, it's just, I can't the shake that something off, y'know?"

As I say that, we start heading back to the Monestary.

Kai keeps looking at me weirdly, he thinks I don't notice, it's odd for him, but I just shrug it off.

We arrive and head to our rooms, I lie on my bed and stare at the ceiling, there's a sense of dread lingering, but I have no clue as to why.

My eyes drift close, and I fall into peaceful slumber.

My head lifts and I'm left standing infront a Source Dragon, the Source Dragon of life, to be precise.

"Hello, Lloyd," they says, staring at me.

"I- Uh- what do I owe you this pleasure?" I stammer, bowing my head.

"There is something wrong the the world, and I need your help, but.. it will come at a huge cost, and I don't know if I can ask you such a thing."

I stare at her for a minute, then say: "whatever it is, I can help."

Their eyes bore into mine, "You could die in the process, this problem.. it is to do with the force of life itself, the world is dying and only you can save it."

I'm rendered speechless then ask, "what do I have to do?"

Their eyes close, then open, "Two choices, one that will destroy the world, one what will save it.

Are you sure your ready? You could use yourself in the process."

I exhale shakily.

"I'm ready."

My eyes fly open, I sit up, back in my room.

Little spots of energy dance around me, I know what I need to do, but I can't let the others know anything.

Quietly, I slip outside and take off walking, checking behind me every few seconds to make sure Nobody's following me.

When I feel the energy is strongest, I kneel on the ground, then put my hand out.

"Lloyd! What are you doing?"

My head snaps towards him, it's just Kai.

"I need to do this," I tell him.

"Do- do what?" He asks, confused.

Nya, Sora and Arin pop up behind him, and I explain to them what I need to do.

"No. You can't do this Lloyd." Nya was the first to speak after I explained.

"I have to do this," I tell her, keeping a calm tone, "If I don't, the whole world will fall into disrepair."

"I can't lose you." Kai says, the pain obvious in his eyes, "I can't."

Just then, an earthquake shakes the ground, making them stumble and fall over, at that point, I decide to do it while their distracted.

I stare up at the sky, praying,  hoping, that there was some other way, it couldn’t end like this, no, it can't.

"No! Please, don't do it, I'm begging you!"  Kai shouts, trying to make his way over.
