Work Text:

jung hoseok has woken up to find many things, most some of which are horrendous.

there was one morning with sharpie drawn dicks all over his forehead, another with bacon in his ear , and one with taehyung's ass right in his face, the latter being one he most definitely is trying to forget.

so yes, jung hoseok has woken up to many, many things

but he has never woken up to one min yoongi pressed snugly into his side.

he peeked down at the ball of messy brown hair under his arm, tiny puffs of air hitting his chest as yoongi breathed slowly, too deep in his sleep to notice hoseok staring down at him. their chests were moving in sync and hoseok hoped to all the gods that yoongi couldn't hear his heart pounding out of his rib cage. i mean, it really wasn't a big deal right, it was just yoongi.

it was just yoongi. just yoongi who flushes into the prettiest shade of pink when winter comes over. just yoongi who's smile felt likes the first trickles of rain, washing over you slowly with warmth. just yoongi who could leave hoseok breathless with a brush of his hand. just yoongi who's eyes shone like a billion constellations combined and-

okay so hoseok might have a (not so) tiny crush on yoongi.

he doesn't even know how they got in the bed, the last thing he remembers before knocking out being too much beer and too many people, which, now that he things about it, explains enough. jin had called everyone over for a housewarming party and, unsurprisingly, all six of them turned up. (anyone in their right mind knows that if there's jin and dinner, you don't even consider not going.)

it's only when his eyes skim over the clock on the wall that hoseok realises he's been staring at yoongi for 20 minutes straight, which honestly sounds creepy as fuck, he thinks, as he tries to shuffle out of bed without waking yoongi up. and of course, because life wants to see hoseok suffer, the tiny sleeping figure starts wriggling, yoongi's eyebrows furrowed and mouth already set into a frown. hoseok tries to make a run for it, already aiming for the door, before a small, cold, hand wraps around his wrist.

"stay."

one word muttered under yoongi's breath, said so softly hoseok almost thought he'd imagined it. turning around, he found yoongi's eyes still closed but his head was peeking out, hand holding hoseok's loosely.

"stay for a while, please."

and hoseok fucking melts right there, the croaky, rough, voice already pulling at his heartstrings, and he can already hear jimin taunting him in his head ("WEAKASS") but he feels his heart swell and feet bring him back into the bed, as if there was no question in the first place.

the blanket stays long forgotten as yoongi drapes himself over hoseok, hand thrown over his waist, head fitting into his neck, elbows hitting elbows and legs a tangled mess, but somehow it feels like them, like their little bubble of them as the late morning sun shone rays of light reflecting off of yoongi's skin. and hoseok definitely manages to ignore the warmth spreading throughout his body. definitely manages to ignore how every touch has set his nerves aflame. definitely manages to ignore how right this feels, with yoongi's nose pressed against his collarbones and his chin on yoongi's head, like time was holding its breath, letting them have this one moment.

and hoseok realises that he wouldn't mind waking up to this again, and again, and again, and maybe again for a thousand more days.

Notes:

(how the fuck do i end this basically yoonseok are gay as fuck they end up married and they've burned down 9 houses trying to make pancakes the end)
