Chapter Text
Skizz was an angel who followed orders.
That’s what it was created to do.
It was a golden soul made to be a guard for the heavens, a fighter against those hell-spawn demons, and as a shining protector of the good. A mentor.
When mortals thought of heaven, they thought of a shining wonderland for the good with golden gates and joy.
In reality?
It was a shining wonderland, but full of people too blind and ignorant to realize that it’s also a prison.
A prison for people, and for angels. A prison founded for control.
Of course, Skizz didn’t know that.

Skizz’s angel wings lifted it higher into the air. If you saw it on the ground, you would think that it wouldn’t be able to fly with those thin wings and the weight of the gold-engraved armor, but the rules of the mortal worlds don’t apply to angelic figures.
Skizz flapped his silken wings harder. It had to get to training!
It was it’s first day mentoring a new angel, and it didn’t want to be late.
Skizz dropped into the training building, barely missing the marble columns with its wings.
“Number?” Barked the training guard.
“Oh- uh,” Skizz straightened its posture, a bit flustered. “0362” It paused “Sir.”
The guard marked something off on his clipboard.
“Make your way to private mentoring room 3. Your student is waiting.” Guard said.
“Oh, yes, yes. Going now.” Skizz stumbled through the door. It always felt nervous around Guards.
Skizz quickly made its way to room 3, getting lost a small bit on the way, but it made it there eventually.
“Sorry I’m late.” Skizz said after entering the room. “I’m your mentor, 0362. SM.”
The young angel stood up and bowed. “0984, Sir SM. DD.” Names were meaningless for angels, so instead everyone used initials and numbers to refer to people.
“Well, then, D. What am I mentoring you for again? I’ve got a lot of new students this mooncycle, and its hard to remember all the subjects.”
“Archery and eye, sir.”
“Wonderous! Lets start with archery.” Skizz raised its arms, gold angel magic encircling them and then swiftly shaping the room to its desires. In this case, an archery range.
“W-whoa. That’s amazing. Sir.” DD said.
“Yeah. Shaping is always pretty cool.” Skizz smiled, showing of perfect teeth, with two sharp gold ones by the corners like canine teeth. Like all angels past student mooncycles had.
The lesson continued for around 2 hours, Skizz teaching DD archery, then eye, which was a form of future-seeing and telepathy that angels adapted after the angels created an alliance with the… the Eyes. No angel dared to speak the true name of the purple-cloaked.
Skizz left the building after the lesson, spreading its wings and taking off into the air. It was returning to his post (which was kind of like a nest in a dip in the wall of a big dorm that all soldiers, mentors and guards slept in), when Skizz saw… something.
It kind of… looked like… a demon…
A demon?! In heaven? Absurd.
Surely… surely not…
Then what happened next Skizz couldn’t remember.
All Skizz could remember that happened next was all blurry… the angel council…--GUILTY
GUILTY GUILTY--… someone screaming- no- Skizz was screaming… it’s wings being torn…
SM, 0362.
ACCUSED OF HELPING THE DEMONS INFILTRATE HEAVEN
GUILTY
SCENTANCED TO FALL.
