Summary
J.K. Rowling’s writing on bottom-rung struggles and orphan survival is absolutely God-tier. But the moment her pen touches the concept of hereditary, top-tier Old Money, the lines immediately radiate a folksy humor akin to "Like thinking the King mows his lawn with a solid gold lawnmower."
The Malfoys in the original books pulled loud, nouveau riche stunts like "buying brooms for the whole team" just to get onto the school roster, and Draco constantly threw around "wait till my father hears about this" like a cheap catchphrase.
A true trust-fund heir who has lacked nothing since birth wouldn't have this loud, desperate need to prove their privilege. To them, "luxury" is as natural as autonomic breathing.
A non-idiot Old Money heir would never stoop to something as low-class as bullying the bottom rung. So what's the deal with the canon Draco, who acts like a street thug, dutifully going out of his way to hassle the Savior every single day?
To give the author an out for this plot-induced stupidity, I’ve slapped him with a "Manticore Curse" in this story.
