"You won," the man said. His voice was deep, but much higher than it had been in his dragon form, and it was soft. He looked nearly harmless in this form. One of his eyebrows twitched. "Happy?"
"Somewhat." Taehyun took a slow step forward, and then when the man didn't immediately bolt, another step. As the man didn't seem embarrassed or conscious of his own body, Taehyun didn't avert his eyes, and instead continued to look as he pleased. "And who have I had the honor of besting?"
"Soobin," said the owner of that name promptly. He gazed up at Taehyun with wide, dark eyes.
"Soobin," Taehyun repeated, tasting it. Soobin was a very pretty name, befitting of a creature of such beauty. Soobin's cheeks had the slightest hint of pink in them. Taehyun wanted to make them even pinker.
"And you are…?"
"Taehyun."
"Taehyun," Soobin said. He sounded curious rather than dismissive — if Taehyun was being optimistic. Soobin looked up at him and still managed to look haughty. "Was that simple act too much for you? Has your energy been drained?"
Taehyun hikes in search of a storied waterfall, and finds a beautiful dragon instead.
