it was another day at school and teruhashi appeared more off then usual. saiki noticed the quickest due to his entrance of the classroom not being filled with her loud and irritating thoughts about him. she seemed stressed and was looking at a paper.
saiki didn’t care.
or so he wished.
his curiosity got to him and he peered over her shoulder. it was an open letter and the torn envelope beside it. teruhashi wasn’t one to tear envelopes especially since most of the letters she received are heartfelt letters from the kokomins. he figured it was probably saiko attempting to pursue her once again. its probably harmless for now but if it brings trouble towards him and his friends like last time he might step in again.
“saiki its you.”, she looked less stressed seeing him. she immediately ripped the paper and threw it under her desk. saiki didn’t miss to catch how rough she was handling the paper. that caught his attention though, a letter from saiko is bad but she wouldn’t handle it that way. telepathy isn’t giving him any useful information about the content of that paper.
“maybe today is the day i make him say offu?”
yep utterly useless. it seems he would just have to wait it out until the lesson is over.

the bell rings and class is over. teruhashi packs up to leave and notices saiki not doing the same.
“saiki-kun, aren’t you coming with us for lunch?”
“sorry, not today i have detention”, it was a terrible lie. but not that bad that she wouldn’t believe it. knowing teruhashi she would probably stay behind with saiki so that he’s not alone, even though thats not an actual problem he faces. however she can’t today, because her fans are right outside the door.
she looked visibly conflicted. inevitably she leaves soon after.
now he’s alone and can see what’s in the letter. he kneels beside teruhashi’s desk and retrieves the torn up letter—its ripped in 4 sections. saiki restores it and reads it.
TOKYO IDOL
teruhashi kokomi, we’d like to address your ignorance towards our previous requests at recruitment. if u do not respond we will take matters into our own hands. considering your brother is an idol i wonder how he would react?
you have 3 days to respond with an acceptance and apology.

what the hell. this sounds more like a threat then an idol agency. its probably fake and someone trying to scare her as a prank.
he put the torn paper back where he took it from and left to go to the cafeteria.

kaido was the third to notice. chiyo had noticed before him but said nothing because teruhashi looks like she doesn’t want to address her own issue.
he rushed over to saiki.
“teruhashi-san looks sad today, do you think its the work of the dark reunion?”
idiot! its completely normal for a human to feel emotion— oh wait never mind teruhashi san doesn’t display sadness frequently because of the pretty girl persona.
“i dont know. ask someone kaido.”
the rest of lunch was silent.
