Summary
Devotion wasn't love. It was the slowest form of self-destruction.
After spending most of her life shaping herself around Namtan's needs, Jingjing thought she had finally learned how to live for herself. But the return of Jan, the woman she once loved enough to lose herself for, pulls her back into feelings she buried years ago. Now she's forced to work alongside her again while finding herself drawn toward Piploy, whose presence feels easy in ways love never did. Jan knows Jingjing's past. Piploy understands the person she's becoming. And somewhere between them, Jingjing no longer knows which version of herself is real.
At the same time, the agency is quietly falling apart from the inside. Information keeps leaking, missions keep failing, and Jingjing is dragged into the search for the mole hiding within their ranks. But while everyone else focuses on the investigation, Namtan focuses on Jan. She doesn't trust her sudden return, her intentions, or the way Jingjing still looks at her like history never really ended.
Jingjing's story is about a woman who spent so long making herself smaller for everyone else that she no longer knows how to choose herself.
