Chapter Text
February 2023:
Anthony is sitting on his floor, finishing up his yoga session. His mind has been clouded the past few days with a familiar face, Ian. God he hasn’t seen the man since mid to late January and whenever he thinks of that hangout all he can remember are the things that made him look like he just ran a 10k. Their hand touching when they both went for the popcorn, Ian leaning into him halfway through the movie, and the craziest, Anthony acting on impulse and KISSING Ian before he left. God that moment has been keeping him up at night for the past two weeks! He suddenly is taken out of his thoughts by some knocks at the door and after a few seconds he hears the doorbell chime. He immediately knows who it is, Ian. Anthony walks over and as soon as he opens the door Ian starts talking. “Ok so I know you and I had that really awkward moment when you were leaving and this might be even weirder but it’s all I’ve been able to think about.” Anthony’s eyes go wide as Ian continues, “And ever since we’ve been hanging out together I’ve felt these butterflies in my chest every time I think of you, all my dreams have been about you, and… honestly…” Ian pauses looking up at Anthony now, “I think I might have a crush on you Anthony, I think I always have.” Ian’s eyes soften as he finishes speaking and then bows his head so he is staring down at his shoes. “And I understand if you don’t feel the same I just… it’s just been bottled up for so long I felt like it was important for you before we continue anything. I’m so sorry I really should just-” Anthony didn’t even let him finish his sentence when he pulled Ian into a bone crushing hug. “Ian,” Anthony whispers, “I love you.” “I love you too.” Ian says pushing Anthony away just enough to pull him into a kiss. Anthony, several minutes later, finally remembers that they are still standing in his doorway. Slowly pulling out of the kiss (even with Ian protesting by balling up his hands around Anthony’s T-shirt collar and pulling him closer), Anthony lets out a light chuckle, moving his hands up to cup Ian’s face. He feels Ian’s grip loosen on his collar, as Ian’s hands slide down his chest to rest at Ian’s sides. Ian leans into Anthony’s touch, closing his eyes and letting out a breath. They stay there for a few seconds until Ian suddenly opens his eyes, “May I come in?” He asks with a smirk on your face. “Of course.” Anthony says, letting go of Ian’s face and grabs his hands, leading him inside as they chuckle.
