Summary
Ricky believes that he and Gyuvin are in fact, cut from the same cloth despite what he says. He always finds something he knows all too well inside those brown eyes. It's habitual and intimate in ways that are synonymous with destruction—with love that hurts because it's so close.
He believes in what he can see and what he can hear. The stirring in his chest is recognizable and it's as intangible as it gets. Gyuvin is dangerous because he is familiar and the smallest spark of hope in Ricky thinks he might just be understanding too.
Gyuvin Kim is Ricky's undoing in every way, most of them bad. Gyuvin is a temperamental beast—Ricky is convinced, and he knows Gyuvin's got just as much baggage as he does. Still, he wants to be ruined because hurting is the most familiar form of love that he knows.
Ricky has resigned himself to a life without romance since his hyper-religious parents would never accept him loving another man. He loves them too much to let them go and yet he finds himself caught in Gyuvin's orbit—wanting, hoping, waiting, for someone else to take responsibility for all the things he can't bring himself to do.
Joining Gyuvin on tour is a terrible idea.
