Chapter Text
The depths of the sea were a great mystery to all who gazed upon it. What was known about it was the pain and death of those who dared venture too far outside the coastline. But the glimmer of it all was the most enticing thing to some people. Namely pirates. So the ship that raced past the endless waves was no royal trading ship, it was there to plunder and disturb the seemingly endless peace of the nation of Life. The Ruthless Jellie practically flew through the waves as the people on board readied to raid a ship coming their way.
Scar had his eyes set on the ship in front of them. He had been watching it for an hour now and he was sure. It was a siren hunting ship. The mere thought of it disgusted him and what they did was more wrong than turning to piracy. Of course in his opinion piracy was the best thing he and his crew could have done.
“CAPTAIN”, a violent shout broke him out of his rage filled stupor. It was Cleo, a zombie, his first mate and their one of their strategists,” We are approaching but the sun is rising and we won't have the cover of darkness for long. I propose taking out their mast with a good shot from the cannons and then boarding their ship. From there we can take what we desire and put these hunters to death.”
“A good plan”, Scar retorted,” but we need to make sure there are no sirens or creatures on that ship that are innocent.” His crew were a bunch of ruthless pirates on the outside, a team of cold killers. But truly they were a band of friends that came from horrid backgrounds, piracy was often done as a form of escapism. Scar stopped reminiscing over the times they had shared and turned toward his first mate. The rocking of the ship on the waves was the most comforting thing it the world at that point in time.
The sun had only minutes before it started to rise. A perfect opportunity to strike while their crew were none the wiser.
Gem was loading her cannon and preparing her shot and Martyn was up high in the crows nest, eyes locked on the enemy ship. Ren was up early like every morning and preparing for the crew's breakfast. They were running low on supplies so hopefully they could take food and water from the other ship. Etho was up early like every day, quietly observing the ambiance and the goings on of the vessel. Lizzie had only just woken and being a cat hybrid, was laying on the railing around the ship, waiting for the first rays of light to bask in.
“Lizzie we are going to fire a cannon shot in a moment and I don't want you getting a shock and falling off the ship”. Cleo’s voice was light and kind, a tone they would only use with their girlfriend. ” Alright”, she said, throwing up her hands in mock surrender.” So what is the plan for boarding it once we get there?”. Gem finally spoke up saying, “ I guess we intimidate them with our guns and we steal and plunder from there”. Scar had to agree this was sound logic.” Don't forget we have to make sure they haven't kidnapped any poor creatures or are trafficking hybrids.”, Added Martyn. It was surprising the man could hear them from up there in the crows nest, but the man had always had astonishing hearing.
Scar could see that Gem was getting impatient and was ready to fire. The sun rays started to peak over the horizon. He told Liz to go wake the others and prepared for this ambush.
Underwater a teal haired siren and a brown haired, green streaked siren were stalking the hunting ship, ready to drown its crew, ready to take back those lost.
“On the count of three Gem…”
One…
The sirens readied their blades.
Two…
The crew tensed and waited with bated breath.
Three…
The sun rose over the horizon
“FIRE GEM!”
