“Ah-bup-bup!” The man cut him off. “Well get to that, don’t you worry, but first you’ve gotta hear me out here, alright?”
Grian’s eyes narrowed. “Okay?”
“Great, wonderful, amazing- okay! So you’re probably wondering why you are here-“
“I am-“
“See, I knew you would! And the answer to that question is a very simple one,” the man continued, “you see, I need help with a case.”
He paused, still smiling at Grian, almost waiting for him.
Grian cleared his throat. “A case?”

Summary
Grian looked over his shoulder only to realise there was nothing worth looking back at. All that existed for him was what lied at the bottom of this cliff. What lied at the end of Grian’s life.
He closed his eyes, took one deep breath and jumped. Funnily, falling felt a lot like flying. It felt freeing. He was finally free. Free from the watcher’s grasp, free from himself, free from everything that bound him to this world.
Agonising pain flooded his senses but none of it was strong enough to be proclaimed as death.
“Oh my god! Is he alive?”
“Just barely. He needs immediate medical attention.”
“Someone get Xisuma.”
And for some reason, Grian recognised the last voice but before he could pinpoint the person behind the voice, everything faded to black.
Grian jumps off the desert cliff, having lost Scar and the will to live but doesn’t really end up dying. He wakes up in a weird town surrounded by weird people and… Scar. None of them remember him. Scar does not remember him yet Grian remembers him. It hurts to not be remembered by your loved one but it hurts even more when you realise you can’t let yourselves fall in love again.

“Yes?”
“They're all watches.”
Indeed, inside The Swaggon are lines and lines of different kinds of watches.
There are aviators, luxury, smart, and even pocket ones. All of every color and design, from expensive to cheap, from antique to modern.
They're organized in a way that has no rhyme or reason, arranged like people in a crowd, with their own stories and characters that mixed beautifully in ungrouped chaos. A cheap children's watch with a popular cartoon character printed crudely on its plastic strap sits snugly next to a luxury one in stainless steel, both of them having the same value in the haphazard tidiness Scar has created.
The oddest thing, however, is the fact that none of these clocks are ticking.

Magical realism scarian yaoi with a sprinkle of Japanese cat lit genre. They visit happy memories and make even more happy memories along the way.
