Imogen didn't sleep a wink last night how could she today she goes to basgiath and shockingly shes exited she hates her foster family .Her foster mother Addison is raging bitch her foster father Dawson is a dick and worst of all her foster brother Brendan is a fucking perv hes already at basgiath but hes a 2nd year by now. "get up now" Addison yelled through her bedroom door.So she did she went and took a quick shower before changing her blonde hair was down to her waist so she put in a quick low bun . She brushed her teeth for longer than usual as today might be her last day alive she will enjoy the taste of her toothpaste minty. She walked slowly down the stairs stopping at the door to the kitchen oh she does not want to face these people .She shook her head and got rid of them thought and pushed the door open "Look who decided to join us" Dawson basically spat .She bit her tounge why piss them off when shes so close to getting out she nodded at him and took her seat. Addison came waltzing in no need to guees why shes in a good mood "Okay so we'll set off in a half hour" Addison said in a rather chipper voice for someone whos usually pissed at everything "okay" imogen replied not really loo8king at either of them in the eye
the ride there wasn't as long as she expected "good luck" Addison said through a laugh imogen again just nodded at her and walked off to the stairs that lead to the parphet "name" a rider asked looking her up and down judgementaly imogens already decided hes a dumb fuck "Imogen Cardulo" she said voice dripping with fake sweetness. He nodded and gestured for her to carry on so she did once at the top she was still about fifth in line to go. then a random girl jumped at her "Hi im quinn hollis and I've decided we should be friends " quinn said extending her arm to her imogen didn't shake it " you do realise we're about to cross the walk way of death" that didn't seem to make quinn get the hint quinn kept her arm extended to imogen "well,then it might be a short friendship but we'll make it a good one" imogen didn't answer her she just snorted and looked ahead "i take that as a yes" quinn insists by now shes at the front of the line "name?" "imogen cardulo" she said nothing more and stepped up onto the parphet.
Then she heard a scream she turned while still carefully walking to see quinn just yelling "what's your problem?" she asked quinn "im scared isn't that obvious" quinn replied sharply "dont look down and think about the good things" imogen said while turning and carrying on.
When she crossed she couldn't help herself from looking back to see if quinn was still okay and she was. Something about that made Imogen happy. She smilled to herself .
She got sorted into a squad with a girl called cianna,quinn,dain ateos,avril and sawyer shes mad about ateos she somehow ended up in a squad with the biggest dickhead the universe hates her "its fated in the stars that were in the same squad our friendship is meant to be" quinn exclaimed.
After a few annoying speeches they all went up to the dormitory imogen claimed the bed closest to the wall and window quinn unsurprisingly claimed the one right beside hers . "So what are we meant to do now?" imogen asked quinn as their squad walked down the hall "we go train and spar like every other cadet will be right now" it wasn't quinn who answered her it was dain "cool" she replied for some reason that made dain shake his head at her "its not cool they can put us against 2nd and 3rd years people cheat in them your not meant to kill today but people break that rule constantly" dain told her in a stern voice "as i said cool" she replied sarcastically. She heard dain scoff but she didn't really care she just continued walking.
Once they were all in the gym their squad got called over by their squad leader knox Dugray "Right so all of your start warming up, sparring each other because in about half an hour challenges start and you'll be going against others .Good luck baby first years" Knox screamed at them. Soon enough sparring began quinn got put against a girl in second year called jax. dain got put against a marked ones in their year called ciaran and got his ass kicked sawyer went against a first year called bodhi half of her squad got beat quinns so far the only one that won her spar imogen hasn't gone yet "right im really fucking disappointed by all of you so far not so much quinn but I do think jax let you win. So imogen your up next dont fuck this up for me please." know said while glaring at each of them "cardulo and tavis to the mat" one of the professors yelled . She made her way to the mat to see her opponent was a 2nd year male larger than the average person taller too and he was a marked ones this tavis person smirked at her and she turned back to knox to "how is this fair" she mouths at him "its not" he mouths back. She might not be completely screwed shes a good enough fighter hes just large . Whoah she can do this . he threw the first punch that she easily dodged she seems to have the speed advantage she can work with that. She sweeped his leg from under him. He fell right down onto his back she jumped ontop of him and started strangling him "yield" she screamed "no" he gasped . as imogen already said the universe hates her because he then gets the upper hand and flips them both over so hes on top of her strangling her. the cycle of them flipping each other last for around another 20 minutes before knox calls it "okay okay tavis get the fuck off one of my baby first years" knox yelled tavis hopped onto his feat and helped her up "your good for a first year" he told her while helping her up "thanks your good for a toddler" she comments he laughs at that "Garrick" he says extending his arm to her she shakes it "imogen" and then she drops his hand and jogs back to her squad "you did so good" quinn said while pulling her into a side hug "yeah thanks" she replied "look at that i have a new favourite baby" Knox said while for some reason patting her head . She looks around the gym she sees garrick speaking to who she can recognise as xaden riorson and bodhi they guy that went against dain he looks alot like xaden but xaden doesn't have a brother not that she knows of anyway so probably a cousin and then a fourth person walks over to them that she recognises in seconds it makes all the blood drain from her face
