Summary
**Despite the very long hiatus I always planned on finishing this someday. I really love this story and what I was trying to do with these characters, though admittedly, I was very young when I started it and perhaps it wasn't done with the sophistication required. A rewrite had been the plan, once I had time and inspiration struck. As much as I adore these characters, the accusations of racism going around are kind of heartbreaking and I just don't have the heart to even consider coming back to it right now. I really thought the moral of this story was clear and that my intention was obvious, but I can see it's not. Maybe it's down to immaturity, bad writing and/or a lack of sophistication. The only reason I'm not deleting it completely is because that will just give people the ammo to keep saying it was racist. I'd prefer it be available for people to look at and decide for themselves.
