    After fleeing her old life with nothing but two duffel bags, a dying car, and too many things she refuses to talk about, Y/N ends up in Beaverton completely on impulse. The plan was simple: keep her head down, start over, and never let anyone get close enough to ask questions.
    That plan lasts about ten minutes. Because Mayor Jerry Generazzo keeps showing up. Everyone in Beaverton either loves him or hates him—and Y/N can’t decide which side she’s on. Especially when she starts realizing the man behind the perfect smile might be hiding just as much as she is.
