Chapter Text
The last memories Murdoc had was snooping behind the empires castle, looking in the garbage for any valuables. It was the darkest point of the night, so he hadnt bothered hiding himself, or his inhuman features. Anyone who got a good look at him would quickly realize he wasn’t human. Not with those large, pointed black horns, yellow eyes with black slits for pupils, large black feathery wings and a demonic tail with a heart spade at the end.
The sound of boots clicking behind him had quickly alerted him, he spread out his wings, ready to take flight, but a sharp, stinging struck him in the neck, and the world went black.
He didn’t know how much time had passed. Didn’t know if it was night or day, didn’t know where he was.
As Murdoc slowly and drowsily opened his eyes he found himself laying limply on what seemed to be an old, weathered mattress. It wasn’t in the best shape, but it was nicer than some places he had to sleep in, in the past. He was also surrounded by darkness with no wind blowing in his face.
His mind felt fuzzy, a nice kind of fuzzy. He adjusted his plush, feathery wings that were draped over his resting body to cover more of his body. He felt calm, at ease. He wanted to go back to sleep, he could hear it calling him back.
“Where not sure what it is. But it seems to be a demon of some sort.”
A muffled voice was heard. It sounded knowledgeable and wise. Murdoc lifted his head and it felt a lot heavier then usual, his vision unfocused, but as he scanned his whereabouts he spotted a crack of light that contrasted the darkness that surrounded him, and with the light, he saw criss crossed bars a good foot infront of him.
The Pot family was the most well known and wealthiest in the empire. Of course they were. Harold Pot was the emperor, making his first born, and only child, Stuart Pot, next in line for the throne.
With the absence of the emperor and his wife on trip to another nation, Stuart was put in charge.
That morning, Stuart had been escorted to one of his mentors study rooms. Stuart was a bit confused and worried by the guards whispers as they escorted his into the tower his mentor was inhabiting.
The door was closed behind him as he entered the room. His mentor, a man in his 50s, was at his desk writing in a journal. The room was full of spell books, remidies, and novels. A big U shaped desk was placed a meter away from on of the two bookshelves that were against the four walls of the room.
Stuart then spotted something that seemed to be newly added to the room.
It seemed to be a cage, A large one at that, with a blanket covering what it was holding.
“Ah, Stuart. Good, you’re here.”
Spoke up his mentor, Silas. Silas stood up from his desk, putting his pen down beside his journal he had just been writing in, and walked up to Stuart.
“Hello Silas. You asked to see me?”
Asked Stuart who looked down at the older man.
“Yes. It’s very important. We would tell your father but he’s out on a trip. I’m not sure if you were told, but last night we found an intruder rummaging around the castle. Thankfully a guard managed to capture them.”
“Oh, that’s good.”
“Yes, it is. We-“
“Well since we got that out of the way-“ Stuart started, not letting Silas finish. “-what’s with the..cage?”
Asked Stuart, pointing to the cage covered in a large cloth, an eyebrow raised in confusion.
“If you would have let me finished,” said the mentor in a calm tone, “the cage is to contain the intruder.”
“Why would you put someone in a cage?”
Asked Stuart, a bit weirded out with how the guards seemed to take care of the situation.
“I was just about to get there. The intruder isnt exactly… human.”
Stuart’s eyes widen at his mentors words. This intruder wasnt a human. Than what the hell could it be?
“Then… what the hell is it?”
“Where not sure what it is. But it seems to be a demon of some sort.”
Stuart was clearly surprised. A demon of some sort? He’d have to give that guard who captured it a raise, that’s for sure. Stuart carefully stepped towards the cage with curiosity.
“May I take a look?”
Asked Stuart who looked back at his mentor. Silas gave him an unsure look before sighing and nodding. The door to the room creaked open with a guard poking their head through.
“Silas, your wanted in the dining hall.”
The guard said before leaving, Silas nodding towards the guards way before looking back at Stuart who was already crouched down infront of the cage covered by the blanket.
“I’ll be back. Be careful”
He said before slipping out of the room and closing the door.
When Stuart’s mentor left, Stuart grabbed the blanket covering the cage and slowly lifted it. The only information he had about the intruder was that it was some sort of demon, either than that, he had no clue what it could look like. Stuart was surprised when he was met by what he saw. A Very drowsy, half awake short tanned man with shaggy black hair, black wings covering his body almost like a blanket, silky dark horns, a heart spaded tail and glowing yellow eyes. It was honestly kinda cute.
“Oh… well hello there…”
Mumbled Stuart as he observed the demon. All that he was replied with was a small whine. Deming the demon not a threat at the moment, he slowly started unlocking the cage.
“Ain’t you a cute thing?”
Said Stuart as he got the door to the cage open.
Murdoc was a bit caught off guard by the softness of this human. He registered only a couple of the words said to him due to being in some sort of drugged state, but he reconized the tone as soft. The figure he layed his eyes opon was a tall, lanky man with electric blue hair.
Murdoc slowly blinked as the human kept taking.
“M’names Stuart, Stuart Pot.”
Murdoc felt like he reconized that name. He felt like he should know it, but his foggy brain wasn’t helping him at the moment. A large hand came towards him, almost like it was going to grab him. Murdoc closed his eyes and braised himself for the worst, but instead found the hand petting one of his wings.
The hand was soft, and gentle. Carefully combing its fingers through his feathers. Murdoc’s gaze followed the hand, it connected to an arm, that eventually connected to the same man with the blue hair. Stuart, was that it? He didn’t care at the moment. He was enjoying the very rare moment of affection he was getting. He honestly couldnt remember the last time he was nicely touched that was outside of sex.
Murdoc’s lips turned into a soft, small smile. He let out a small tired sigh as he shifted a bit. Stuart’s hand slowly making its way to the top of his wing where most of the small, softer feathers where.
Stuart shifted a bit so he was closer to the demon. He layed down on his stomach, his torso in the cage and his legs out of the cage.
Stuart moved his hand up to the demons dark hair, combing their fingers through it and scratching at the scalp, earning a small, satisfied moan from the demon as he leaned into the touch lazily.
The sound of the door opening caught Stuart’s attention. Stuart sat up to see who was at the door. The demon let out a small whine at the loss of contact but didn’t do anything about it.
Stuart’s mentor had come back into the room along with three guards accompanying him.
“Mmh, I see you got a good look at the demon,”
Said Stuart’s mentor as he walked over to his desk, the three guards walking into the room but staying in the doorway.
Stuart looked back at his mentor before responding.
“Yeh, sure did. He’s a cute lil fellow. Very docile.”
Silas raised an eyebrow as he looked over at Stuart before chuckling.
“Well yes, he’s docile right now. He’s still in a drugged state. Surprised he woke up. That drug givin to him was supposed to make him sleep for an another good couple hours.”
“Huh..” Stuart looked back in the cage to see the demon was already back asleep. “Must be some strong stuff” they muttered.
“Yes. It is. We’re trying to figure out what to do with the demon. Can’t exactly set it back out.”
“Bring him to my bedroom.”
Stuart replied without really thinking. Silas’ eyes widen at this response.
“Are you sure? This is a demon were talking about-“
“I’d like to watch over him for the time being”
Stuart’s mentor just looked at them like they were crazy. ‘What the hell is this kid thinking?’ He thought to himself he glanced over at the three guards still at the door frame, seeing the same surprised expression plastered onto their faces. Silas looked back at Stuart for a couple of seconds before sighing and nodding.
“Yes.. your majesty..”
Stuart stood up with a smile.
“Thank you, Silas. Get someone to bring him and… the cage to my sleeping corters.”
By 10pm, Stuart had arleady made his way to his bedroom. It was big and elegant, exactly what you’d expect from royalty. He had gotten himself ready for bed, only in his boxers, ready to climb into bed, until he remembered the caged demon he had asked to be brought to his room. They looked around their room and spotted the cage. He made his way to the cage, opened it to find the demon still sleeping and carefully picked it up and out of the cage.
Stuart then walked back to his king sized bed and set the demon under his covers, crawling in afterwards and pulling it against his chest, wrapping their limbs around the demon.
Stuart didn’t know why they did this, but it felt right. He felt like it was his mission to keep this demon safe and secure. It was almost like a possessive urge took over him.
Murdoc would nuzzle his face into Stuart’s chest as he stired up. Murdoc felt finger running through his hair. The gesture was soft and felt meaningful. The lingering touches of the hand sent a shiver down his spine. He felt another hand rubbing his back, pressed against his wings that were folded behind his back.
Murdoc let out a small sigh as he opened his eyes slowly and looked up to see someone holding him. He reconized the person. The same one with electric blue hair that had approached him in the darkness. The memory was vague, but he remembered it. Remembered how soft and gentle he was being handled.
Stuart felt the demon shifting beneath him and he looked down to see the demon was looking up at him with tired eyes. He let out a chuckle.
“Hey there, finally awake?”
Stuart teased in a friendly tone. Murdoc only looked at Stuart before responding with a small,
“Yeh..”
Stuart would move their hand that was petting Murdoc hair to his cheek, cupping it. Murdoc leaned into the touch and closed his eyes.
“So, what’s your name?”
Murdoc paused for a couple second before opening his eyes to look back at Stuart.
“…um- ..Murdoc..”
“Murdoc, huh. I’m Stuart Pot. Already told you my name, but I’m pretty sure you were to drugged up to remember.”
“Sounds familiar…”
Mumble murdoc. Stuart chuckled at murdoc’s cluelessness, finding it endearing.
“I’m the son of the emperor, Harold Pot”
Murdoc’s eyes widen as his heart sped up as he kept listening to Stuart talk.
“You were uh.. some of the guards captured you, but I asked them to bring you to my room for the time being. Don’t worry about anything, alright? You’re safe here.”
Murdoc felt a red hue appear on his cheeks as he heard Stuart. This man, part of the royal family, laying in bed with him, cuddling him, telling him he’s safe and to not worry about anything. For the first time, Murdoc was the one who felt butterflies in his stomach.
Usually he was the one seducing people. Both men and women. He was an incubus after all. But being on the receiving end. It felt amazing. Although this was a bit different from seducing, this was more like wooing.
He was being wooed by a prince and he felt like he was on cloud nine.
The way Stuart had said all those things, it sounded believable. Not only did it sound believable. But with the way Stuart was gently combing his fingers through his hair and the strong, yet calming hold he had on him. It felt believable.
Stuart could feel the smaller man’s heart beat racing. He felt satisfied knowing it was him who caused this flusteredness. Stuart smiled softly, nuzzled their face in Murdoc hair, making sure to watch out for the horns, and then pressed a soft kiss on the demons temple.
“My pretty lil demon.”
Stuart mumbled as they closed their eyes, their breath grazing Murdoc forehead. Murdoc felt a small shiver run down his spine, that shiver running through his wings and making the feathers puff up. After calming down he looked at Stuart before questioning.
“Your pretty lil demon?”
“Yes. Mine.”
Stuart mumbled as they pulled Murdoc impossibly close to them. Murdoc lay there stunned for a couple seconds before relaxing and leaning back into the tight, yet calming hold. He buried his head back into the taller man’s chest before closing his eyes and inhaling Stuart’s scent before exhaling.
“Alright.. ..yours…”
