Lazy Training

Summary:

You bother (not really) Zoro while he's working out.

Work Text:

The metallic clank of Zoro's humongous weights was a common sound of the Thousand Sunny. It had been a common sound even before that, on the Merry. You were balanced on top of them, eyes closed. You could feel your hair lift and flop with gravity as you went up and down while Zoro lifted the weights.

You opened one eye to peak down at him, "C'mon Zoro, is that all you got?" The swordsman was visibly sweating. You'd lost count of how many reps he'd done, but at this point, it had been at least a couple of hours since he'd started.

You smiled and jumped off of the weight. The sudden weight difference made Zoro scowl, and he grumbled quietly before setting them down. You sauntered over, a teasing smile on your face. You leap at him, arms wrapping around his neck.

Your nose scrunched in disgust once you felt how he was soaked in sweat. "Ewwww Zoro, you're gross." A smile crossed his face before he was holding you tightly, not letting you go. You yelped, breath escaping your chest as he squeezed you tightly. "No! Zoro, let me go, you stink!" Your yelling could be heard all the way over by the figurehead, where Luffy was basking in the sun. He glanced over at the two of you and laughed. "Shishishi..."

"Luffy! Save me!!!" You cried dramatically, kicking at Zoro and smacking his shoulders. His chuckle brought your attention back, and you looked at him with a scrunched up glare. It wasn't nearly as intimidating as you thought it was.

"I'm serious, Zoro. You reek." You huffed, pinching your nose." He scowled before dropping you. You landed on the grass with a whump. Zoro was walking off to put his weights away. "Don't worry, Zoro! I still love you!"

You laughed as he turned to look at you and rolled his eye, before picking up the weight effortlessly. You laid back on the grass to look up at the clouds. It was a sunny day, nice and warm.

You didn't realize you were tired until you'd drifted off on the lawn. When you woke up again, Zoro was sat next to you, swords in his lap. He was freshly showered, you could tell by the dewy look of his mossy hair and the smell of fresh soap.

You rolled over and lazily rested your head on his thigh. You poked it and giggled tiredly. He was so muscly. You heard him huff and could imagine him fondly rolling his eyes. You slipped back to sleep, savoring the moment of piece before adventure eventually crashed into them, and Luffy was dragging them off to explore a new island.
