“I’m sorry… I’m sorry, Graf. You know I didn’t mean to hurt you,” Multi said in a soft voice, gently stroking the other man’s cheek.
They were in Multi’s office, Graf was sitting huddled on the cold floor, sniffling and trembling. Blood was dripping from his nose, and he was clutching his stomach tightly with one arm, where bruises were already forming.
Multi had lost his temper.
He struck Graf several times and even kicked him like a stray dog when he saw that Graf was trying again to scratch the chip out of his neck. Multi could see that Graf was beginning to fight the chip, that he was subtly rebelling against it more and more often.
He was so furious, if he could, he would kill Graf so his secret wouldn’t be revealed.
But he couldn’t.
Graf was too precious to him.
He was his alone, and he couldn’t bear the thought that God might get his hands on his chip and his Graf.
“You’re not mad at me, are you? You know I did it for your own good,” he said as if to a child, trying to convince him that what he was doing was only for his own good.
Graf looked at him, and his eyes flashed yellow before he nodded uncertainly and stretched his arms out toward him. The scientist immediately caught him and held him close to his chest, slowly beginning to stroke his head while leaving a few light kisses on the top of his head.
He knew Graf loved this, how even the slightest touch immediately calmed him and made him more obedient. His body relaxed, and he clenched his trembling hands onto the scientist’s lab coat, burying his face in his chest.
“Come on, it’s okay. Don’t overreact, nothing serious happened,” Multi sighed, but he didn’t stop lightly pressing his lips against Graf’s hair, letting him find the comfort he needed.
Graf needed a few more minutes to completely calm down; he slowly pulled away from Multi and wiped the blood from under his nose. The scientist helped him wipe the tears from his cheeks and tilted his head, watching him with a watchful gaze.
“You’re so pretty, you know that?” Multi hummed and grabbed Graf’s wrist, slowly licking a few drops of blood from his fingers.
“The prettiest thing in my collection,”
