Work Text:
The team captains like to kiss, from time to time.
The two of them have never established any concrete relationship, nor does it seem to be expected from either of them. They often meet up at night, when all the other objects have long fallen asleep to come together and bashfully frolic about in the fields like a pair of crushing pre-teens (which, to be fair, they are).
“I love you, Pin! You’re just.. So great to be around!” Leafy exclaims, and that only serves to confuse Pin all the more. She’ll never understand how Leafy can throw around platitudes so easily, when love is such a meaningful word. They hardly know each other, for Pin Factory’s sake!
“Well, I don’t.” She succinctly replies. “Be-cause I bare-ly know you. We met, like, a few months ago.”
Nonetheless, Leafy’s eyes are filled with the utmost adoration for her, and she can’t help but blush at the sight. She’s pretty, that’s for sure.
So, putting aside her hesitation, Pin leans in for another warm kiss.
__
Coiny was in love with her.
Pin doesn’t say this because of his loyalty, nor because he went through hell and back trying to bring her back to her true form during BFDIA. All of those could be justified by him being a good friend.
No, she says this because of the way he looks at her. To say he looks at her like she hung the moon and stars would be inaccurate– because he looks at her like she is the night sky itself. His eyes glimmer in adoration every time she crosses paths with him, almost as though she were his very reason to live personified.
In fact, that’s how he looks right at this moment: He’s smiling, so filled with reverence as she sits down on the torn up blanket he’s set down on the pastel yellow grass. Seemingly, this is some sort of a picnic set-up he’s hastily put together
“Pin,” Coiny starts, “For the past decade, you have been my absolute best friend. Not just that, you’ve been my everything, like, seriously." He nervously looks to the side, before putting aside his instinctual bashfulness to confidently look up at her. “Pin, would you go out with me?”
She isn’t all that surprised that he asked her to go out with him. The only surprising part was how long it took, seemingly only after he’s held these feelings for her for a decade.
Now, it’s reasonable for anyone to be confused in her position, because truth be told, she isn’t sure if she feels much romantic attraction to him. He’s her best friend, of course, and she appreciates his loyalty as her right-hand man. But she isn’t all that sure whether she loves him.
The best way to figure out whether what she’s feeling is love is probably to know what love is in the first place, right? She isn’t sure whether she’s ever had any experience on the matter, but her most vivid memory was all those late night rendezvous with Leafy all those years ago, but that also can’t be right. They were just kids, that wasn’t love by any means.
She hesitantly looks back at Coiny, watching his confident gaze falter as he realizes just how long she is taking to reply– and, wow, that’s enough to make her feel guilty to her core.
He’s done everything for her. He worked to defend her against those Freesmart bullies, he carried and cherished her when she was nothing more than an immobile pushpin, and he even brought back her face and earned her a wonderful mech-suit that gave her mobility after a year.
After all of that devotion and time he’s dedicated to her, surely she can’t just let him down now! She’s already treated him poorly in the past, and the last thing he deserves after all of his steadfast care was a broken heart.
She can already imagine how he would feel if she rejected him now: His face would fall in distress, before quickly masking it in favor of repressing his emotions all to make her happy. He’s already spent so long doing whatever it takes to make her happy, she should at least return the favor.
She inhales, her expression changing into something that she hopes comes across as loving. “Coiny, you’ve been the best friend I could e-ver ask for. I love and a-ppreci-ate you, and I would love to court you.”
He gasps in what must be excited bliss, before instantly launching at her and wrapping her into an uncomfortably warm embrace. “Pin, you have no idea how much this means to me! Oh my mint I love you so much–”
And the worst part is that she loves him too, but not enough. Not in the right way, she loves him in a way that will never be able to satisfy him if he found out. He deserves to feel like his feelings are reciprocated.
Coiny’s eyes are filled with the utmost adoration for her, and she can’t help but look away uncomfortably at the sight.
__
They’ve been dating for a good while now, and Pin can safely say that she still likes him. She likes how his eyes crinkle whenever he laughs, she likes his impulsive defensiveness of her, and she likes his ability to win anyone’s heart.
Coiny has this weird ability to worm his way into her heart, and she wishes she could say she doesn’t mind.
Because she loves him, she really does, but it’s not the kind of love he expects from her.
His love is overwhelming in how pure it is. He sincerely prioritizes her in every aspect of his life, taking care to never hurt her or remind her of the past, and even changing bits and parts of himself to appeal to her.
Maybe the worst part is that all of his effort was for naught. She doesn’t love him any different than she always has– as a dear and trusted confidant. Somehow, the word ‘love’ feels as though it doesn’t apply here, even if she knows it’s logically supposed to, because they’re dating. When objects date, it means that they love each other, so it doesn’t make sense otherwise.
She likes spending time with him. She cares when he’s hurt and she remembers everything he says– so surely this is love. Maybe that spark everyone always talks about is just optional to love, and whatever she’s feeling is just what it’s actually like.
The best explanation must be that her love simply manifests differently. Whereas Coiny’s love is overflowing and single-minded, hers is more of a wave that comes and goes. She can safely say she appreciates him as a person, but somehow, the thought of continuing to date him just tightens her chest.
The worst part is that her conflicted feelings are interfering with how she interacts with and feels about Coiny. When you enter a relationship, you’re supposed to grow closer to the other person, but she somehow feels so much farther away from him.
When they were best friends, they were always on the same wavelength, essentially reading each other’s minds and finishing each other’s sentences. It just feels off now, like they’re both strangers forced to act like they know each other. She hopes he won’t pick up on it.
This is awfully unfair to Coiny, she decides. She’s the one who’s failing the relationship after he’s done everything right, and now she can’t help but wonder if she’s just inherently flawed. Is she just not trying hard enough? Is she always going to be incomplete– unable to experience such an inherent part of object culture?
She’s probably just overthinking it. She’s always had a bad habit of doing that, hasn’t she?
Coiny leans on her shoulder casually, as if he’s simply entitled to do so. And he is, because why wouldn’t he be? They affectionately laid on each other constantly before. “Hey, Pin.” He says casually. “You’ve just been sitting here staring at the grass for a good hour, I thought I’d check up on you.”
Pin blinks. “You were watch-ing me watch the grass?”
He chuckles casually, as if the question itself were absurd. “Obviously! Well, I hope that doesn’t come across as creepy or whatever, but I just… love to look at you? Oh my Mint, that sounds so weird–”
She grins at his bashful stuttering. He’s only ever nervous when it comes to her, it’s sweet. “I don’t mind, Coiny. I think it’s ve-ry sweet!” And it is. Something about Coiny treating her like she’s someone so worthwhile, even despite her flaws, is enough to remind her of why she cares about him so much.
He grins. “Ah, that’s good! I mean, we’re dating now and everything, so there’s no reason to be embarrassed about anything.”
And her face deflates. Isn’t that just awful of her, to be disappointed that her relationship with her best friend is even stronger than before? What sort of hypocrite is she? No normal object would feel that way, which only goes to show that there’s clearly something inherently wrong with her.
Just the thought makes her chest tighten with anguish, and she only manages to restrain a shivering sigh to avoid worrying Coiny. It seems like she’s incapable of doing anything but letting those she loves down.
Coiny tilts his head in innocent confusion. “Uhh, Pinster, hello there?” He waves his hand in front of her face. “What’re you thinking about there, buddy?”
She jumps out of her thoughts. “Oh, I was just…” Pin gulps. “I was think-ing about the grass. It’s yellow now. Fasc-in-ating!”
He raises an eyebrow in contemplation. “Yeah, it IS pretty weird, but that’s not what you’re thinking about, is it?” He leans forward to stare at her face. “Hey, you’re sweating that weird ooze again!”
She smiles nervously. “Coiny, you reall-y don’t have to worry about me. It’s nor-mal to con-tem-plate some-times!”
Coiny looks worried– and bless his heart, he’s always worrying for her in some capacity– before giving her a kind grin. “Huh, if you’re sure! I know you would let me know if you were worrying about something, and if anyone did something to you, I’m right here to back you up, alright?”
If she were worried about literally anything else, she would tell him immediately, so he’s not wrong in assuming she would. But now that she knows she’s exhibiting what’s fundamentally abnormal behavior, she just cannot bring herself to tell him. She can’t! He idolizes her so much, it would be a disservice to someone as kind as him to burden him with her own flaws.
After all, she’s the broken one, not him.
__
Things feel wrong when they kiss.
It’s almost as if she’s mimicking the actions of what a kiss is supposed to be– a romantic gesture– while actively repressing how unnatural it feels. They just don’t mesh together.
Maybe Pin is inherently bad at this, and the simple explanation is just that she was never meant for love in the first place.
For some inexplicable reason, she can’t help but think back on her childhood fling with Leafy. Why did that feel so much more real than this? She barely knew the girl, and even now, they remain tentative friends! If only Coiny was the same as he currently is, just a bit more…
… A bit more what? What is it that he’s missing that makes her lack any attraction to him? He’s doing everything perfectly! She has no right to feel so claustrophobic in this relationship, when Coiny has never pressured her, not one single bit.
His lips are cold and chapped, and she internally contrasts this with how Leafy was so long ago, before she grew to be an outcast. Her lips were warm and tasted of honey, with the smooth lining of chapstick. They felt right, even if she knows as a fact she never really loved her.
Coiny never seems to notice this inherent disconnect, which makes her feel awful. He still thinks they’re perfect for each-other, and they are! Their personalities objectively meld together perfectly, which is exactly how they’ve stayed friends for so long.
If only she could just fix herself already.
__
She had a nightmare the night prior.
Well, calling it a nightmare might be a little dramatic, because nothing bad happened in the dream– Actually, it was the opposite. It was the best dream she has had in what might be years.
The problem is that she was kissing Gaty in the dream.
It’s completely nonsensical, because she hardly speaks to the girl in the first place! They’re friends, sure, and they interact as often as they have to while they’re on the same team, but Two hasn’t appeared to continue the season in what must be a few months, so there’s hardly ever any justification to talk to her in the first place.
The dream didn’t have a plot or much of anything– It took place in Pin’s room, and the two of them were just chatting before exchanging one chaste kiss. The thought makes her feel fluttery, even now.
What is her problem? How could she be having such nonsensical intrusive thoughts while she has a boyfriend! Emphasis on boy! She keeps switching between embarrassment and horror before eventually settling on self-loathing.
She has a boyfriend any object would kill for, in fact, objects have killed for probably less! And it’s not that she doesn’t value him, she does, she loves him so much that her chest could implode, but–
She can’t help but wish Coiny was a girl.
__
After what must have been just a few days of this uncertainty, Pin has already had enough. She knows she won’t be able to keep this to herself for much longer without snapping, and Pin-Factory forbids she ever wind up snapping at Coiny.
So, as uncomfortable as a subject it is, she knows it's inevitable she will have to tell someone about this. How much longer will she be able to keep ‘Hey, I don’t know if I actually want to date Coiny’ to herself otherwise?
Now, the only issue is who exactly she can trust with this information.
She wanted to tell Needle, at first, considering they’ve frequently been on teams together and she knows her well enough to trust that she isn’t the sort to leak information. But at the same time, Needle’s friends with Coiny for the same reason that she’s friends with Pin, and she can’t risk Needle somehow letting Coiny know.
Her next thought was Donut, after all, he’s a kind and mature figure for their team, not to mention him also being a WOAH Buncher– but then the exact same issue arises where he’s just as close with Coiny as he is with her.
Why does she have to be close with almost exclusively Coiny’s friends?! Well, she knows very well why. They’re inseparable, and have been inseparable since BFDIA, she’s never felt the need to keep anything from him. She almost feels like a traitor for not immediately telling him how she feels, but she needs to arrange her feelings before she brings anything up to Coiny.
So, after narrowing down her options, she has a good reason to ask Gaty for advice.
The best thing about Gaty is that she’s a consistent presence. Unlike the unpredictable shenanigans that are expected out of object society, Gaty is stable and welcoming, someone who’s always there to listen.
With this in mind, Pin goes off to find her, hoping to start the discussion before she changes her mind. If she didn’t get a move on now, she would cower out, which she refuses to do as their heroic leader. Well, she doesn't feel all that heroic now, but the point still stands.
She spots the periwinkle girl gently knitting a flower crown together, nestled in the grass with a neutral resting expression on her face. Even without a smile, she looks relaxed, and just the sight of such a friendly face is enough to relax her nerves a bit.
Gaty looks up when she hears the soft footsteps of her teammate. “Oh, hey there, Pin! Want to make flower crowns with me? I wanted to give them out to our team.”
Pin hesitantly sits besides her. “May-be later, but Ga-ty, I.. I wanted to talk to you about something.”
The girl raised an eyebrow in confusion. “Huh. Really? I never thought you were the kind to need help.” When Pin is about to stammer in denial, she waves it away. “Hey, I never said I minded, I’ve been giving out advice like candy recently.”
Pin sighs. “Well, you caught me, I want-ed to tell you about an iss-ue I have been hav-ing…”
Gaty nods patiently, eyes still focused on the flower crown she’s tying together as she attentively listens. Somehow, her nonchalant demeanor makes Pin accepted, like this is someone who she could tell just about anything without startling her in a way that anyone else she knows would be.
“Well,” Pin starts, “You’ve heard by now that Coiny and I are da-ting, right?”
Gaty nods, perking up. “Yeah, and I'm happy for you two!” She tilts her head. “But.. based on how you’re acting, that’s not a good thing, is it?”
She hesitantly nods. “It just feels wrong for us to be to-geth-er. I can’t stop think-ing about, well, any-one else but him.”
Now that’s something new. Gaty raises an eyebrow, already somewhat befuddled. “And.. Why go to me for this? Communication is important in relationships. Isn’t this something you should be telling him?”
Pin shakes her head in disagreement. “I want-ed to get my thoughts in order be-fore tell-ing him!” What was she thinking, telling Gaty?! Now she’s embarrassed herself in front of her own teammate, and now Gaty will never take her seriously!
Rather than immediately telling her off like Pin expected, Gaty hums. “Oh, that makes sense, I guess. But it seems like you already figured out you two aren’t a perfect match or anything, so what’s left to figure out?”
“I just… I feel like I’m bro-ken!” Pin blurts out.
Now that’s something. Gaty puts down her flower crown to focus a bit more exclusively on Pin. “What? What makes you say that?”
Now that she’s already said the heaviest part, the floodgates open, and Pin starts rambling about everything she’s been feeling. She isn’t capable of romance, she just feels wrong! Somehow, she can’t stop thinking about Coiny as a girl and imagining him as any other girl besides her actual boyfriend. Coiny has to put up with someone who can’t even get her thoughts in order– and now she just feels so guilty!
“And now, poor Coiny has to deal with my con-fu-sion–”
Gaty raises her prosthetic arm up, holding a finger to Pin’s mouth. “Alright, shush.”
“Wha–”
“Shush! My turn to talk!” Gaty inhales. “Just let me talk for a second, alright?”
Pin pauses, steadying her breathing to give her full attention to Gaty.
“Alright, first question: have you ever heard of homosexuality?”
“...HUH?” Pin stutters. “Wh-Wh-? Obvious-ly I have, Ga-ty! Coiny is a trans guy! Most of our team-mates are queer in some fashion! I be-lieve my-self to be.. Well, I’m not quite sure, but I know what being gay is!”
Gaty sighs. “Okay, so what’s all the confusion for?”
It takes Pin a few seconds to process everything that Gaty is saying. Why in the world would she bring up something like this out of the blue? Well, she isn’t an idiot or anything, so it only takes her a little before she realizes what Gaty must be implying. “Wait, Ga-ty, are you saying–”
“You’re obviously a lesbian.”
She blinks, quite stunned by Gaty’s blunt statement. She understands how she reached that conclusion, but somehow, it feels wrong. She can’t be a lesbian! She can’t because…
…Why is it such an issue if she is, anyways? It’s not that she’s homophobic, of course not! But she never imagined that it would apply to her, is all.
“Well, why would I ever a-gree to date Coiny if I’m not even a-ttract-ed to him?”
Gaty shrugs. “I mean, that’s a question to ask yourself. I’m not telling you what you are, don’t get me wrong, I could be wrong, but..” She shakes her head. “You just said you have to pretend he’s a girl now. Genuinely how else am I supposed to interpret that?”
“I…” Pin hesitantly looks up at Gaty. “But is that o-kay? I mean, I don’t un-der-stand how I could go this long with-out realiz-ing that I’m… you know!”
The periwinkle girl simmers in her thoughts, her eyes darting about before she eventually sighs after just a few seconds of hesitating. “Alright, Pin, let me tell you something.”
“Oh, uhm, yes? What is it?”
“I used to think I was–” Gaty huffs. “A gay guy. It was awful, looking back, and I was honestly hideous before transitioning.”
Pin can’t imagine Gaty as either a man or being attracted to men– she feels like the poster child for trans lesbians in her mind. She wants to interject with a few questions, but she keeps quiet, allowing Gaty to continue.
“Both Saw and I, when we met in the LOL, we really bonded over our shared feeling of ‘wrongness’.” Gaty continues. “We felt wrong in our bodies! It’s only after we started dating that we both realized what was wrong.”
“You and Saw are dat-ing?!”
“No, no, we broke up after she realized she was aromantic.” She clarifies. “But the point is that even when I was dating her, I only ever liked her when I imagined her as, well, a girl, even before she transitioned! You get the idea?”
Pin nods, trying to absorb the information. She gets the point, even if it was a little rambly– if Gaty took years to figure herself out, then maybe it can be the same for Pin?
It’s different, though– Saw and Gaty shared that feeling of wrongness. It burdened the both of them, and they shared that with each other. Coiny wouldn’t get it, he loves her regardless of her gender. “I just..” Pin mutters. “Would Coiny un-der-stand?”
“Well, I can’t say for certain.” Gaty says. “But from what I know about him? He’s a sweet guy who’s head over heels for you. I think even if you told him you brutally murdered me, he would forgive you.”
“I would ne-ver murder you! But, anyways, thank you for the ad-vice, Ga-ty! I’ve de-cid-ed to be hon-est with him.”
Gaty smiles, genuinely happy that her teammate is willing to be honest with her partner. “Alright, I’m happy for you! You’ve got this, Pin!”
Pin grins, happily skipping away, confidence reignited by the heart-to-heart she’s had with Gaty. She’s still nervous, of course she is, the suffocating that’s been building up in her chest is still there, but it’s less prominent. Maybe she just needed a talk with a good friend to calm herself down a little.
Now, she has something important to do.
__
When Coiny invited her over for a picnic date, she knew that this would be the time to tell him everything she’s been keeping bottled up. That small conversation she had with Gaty has been running through her mind for the past few days, and the more she thinks on it, the more she realizes it’s unfair for Coiny she continues to date him.
He lights up when he spots her approaching the picnic table, eagerly setting down a paprika flavored pancake onto a crooked plastic plate. “Pin! I’m so happy you’re–”
“I think I like girls.” She blurts out.
She can’t bring herself to look at him, she doesn’t want to see the disappointment and heartbreak she’s certain that she’ll see. If he doesn’t just yell at her entirely, he’ll still tell her off for lying to him for so long! It’ll be her fault, and–
“PIN! Pin, hey, look at me.” He waves his hand in front of her face “You dozed out there for a second– You… are you ready to talk to me now?”
“Talk a-bout what?” She stammers.
“Uh, about what you just said?” He clarifies. “Listen, you can’t just drop that then not elaborate!”
She looks away shamefully. “I’m so so-rry for say-ing that. I was just.. Con-fused!” Because it’s unfair to lie to him, sure, but it’s even worse if she breaks his heart in such a callous way.
He shakes his head in denial. “What? You can’t.. Pin, don’t lie to me. Look at me, alright?” He leans forward to give her a saddened but reassuring smile. “I mean, I'm sad, obviously I’m sad, but that doesn't mean I blame you.” He gently pats her shoulder. “If you really think this is who you are, then I’m more than happy to support you.”
“But you de-serve my love! Coiny, af-ter all you’ve done for me–”
He squints in slight confusion. “Woah, woah, what do you mean deserve? That's not how this works– you shouldn't just.. Date someone because they did enough things for you. That’s never what I wanted!”
“But you.. Are-n’t you up-set?”
“I’m not upset that you like girls, what?!” He says, baffled. “I just.. No, I’m more disappointed that you think I would ever want you to force yourself into something. Every time I’ve done something for you, it wasn’t to earn your love, it was because I care about you!”
She awkwardly looks around, unsure how to maintain eye contact in such an uncomfortable moment. “So you.. You don’t mind if I don’t want to be with you?”
“Of course,” He says simply. “I’m happy that you’re discovering yourself, and that’s all that matters to me, really…!” Despite the reassuring words leaving his mouth, he looks somewhat bittersweet. He wipes a few stray tears away. “Ah, sorry, I don’t mean to make it about myself or anything..”
Pin quickly leans forward to hug him once she notices the tears. “Don’t cry! You reall-y are a won-der-ful partner. I just don’t want to lie to you, o-kay? But it’s not your fault–”
“Pin, calm down.” He gives her a hollow chuckle. “It’s normal to react this way after what’s basically a break-up, it’s nobody’s fault.” He shakes the tears away, a more genuine smile making its way onto his face. “Listen Pin, honestly? Whether it’s romantically or platonically or whatever else, all I want is to be by your side.”
“You’d reall-y be o-kay with that..?”
“Gosh, have you forgotten who you're talking to? This is your partner in crime. Your right hand man!” He gives her a solid thumbs up. “No matter what, I’m here to stay! I just need a day to process everything, but I swear everything’ll be fine between us.”
Pin swallows back a lump in her throat, her hands slightly shivering from her built up anxiety. “Coiny, I… Thank you. I’m sorr-y for lett-ing you down.”
He shakes his head in denial. “Again with this ‘letting down’ stuff? I just said I want you to be yourself! I’m the last guy who’d ever force you into anything.” He opens his arms up with a sheepish smile. “You.. You look like you’re still not doing so hot, huh? Do you need a hug?”
She sniffles and quietly nods, launching herself into his arms. “Thank you, Coiny…!” And to think she was scared he would hate her– of course he wouldn’t. “We’re still friends?”
Coiny gives her a reassuring smile. “Yep, still friends.”
As his words sank in, her ragged breathing smoothed, and the desperate tears in her eyes shifted into a relieved smile, the tension that had been locked in her shoulders for days finally beginning to melt away.
She pulled back slightly from the hug, wiping her own eyes with the back of her hand. Perhaps she could adequately put it into words if she tried, but it’s hard to describe the feeling of finally being yourself.
Coiny squeezed her shoulder before heading off, promising he’d be okay. And for the first time in weeks, she actually believed him. She knows he can handle himself, and now it’s time for her to focus on herself as well.
____
“Thanks for the ice cream, Robot Flower!” Gaty politely says, retrieving the two popsicles from the shop owner.
“Wait, so you can get them their ice cream but you can’t get us a battery?!” Tree says in the background. “Hey, get back here–!”
Gaty drags Pin away, ignoring Death Pact’s plight and instead focusing on Pin herself. A few popsicles while walking around a hotel might be a crummy first date, but nonetheless, she still finds herself eager to be with someone after both of their disastrous attempts at romance.
Not to say she didn’t enjoy her time with Saw! She just feels somewhat guilty that Saw wasn’t able to realize she was aromantic while she was with her. Maybe she can relate to Coiny on that front, he certainly seemed guilty, even if it really isn’t anyone’s fault. Ah, this relationship nonsense can be complicated!
Gaty is snapped out of her thinking when she hears Pin’s voice. “Wait, sorry, did you say something?”
“I was just say-ing I can’t be-lieve so much has happ-ened, and the com-pet-ition has only had one cha-llenge!” Pin says. “I mean, I’ve disco-vered so much a-bout myself..”
Gaty reaches for her hand to gently squeeze it. “And I’m really happy about that. You deserve to know who you are!”
“Pfft, Two is gonna come back to see our team dy-nam-ics have al-ready changed so much.”
“Where HAS Two been, anyways?” Gaty questions. “It’s been almost a year, and they still haven’t checked in on us!”
Pin nods sagely. “They’re quite the irr-espon-sible host, but there’s been worse in BFDIA. Would you like to hear a-bout it?”
Gaty nods with her characteristically genuine smile, biting into the ice cream and sticking her tongue out at the cold. “Eep! I shouldn’t have bit into that– but yeah, tell me more, Pin!”
They walk alongside the edge of the hotel, engaged in a conversation with each other.
After Pin came out to Coiny a few months back, she began going to Gaty more and more to bond with a fellow queer girl, and she had been slowly developing feelings from that point.
They’ve only been together for a week or so now, and it’s been nice, oddly peaceful and lacking the same suffocating pressure she felt when she was with Coiny.
That’s not to say anything is awkward between the two of them, though, not at all. Their friendship is stronger than ever before with each other now, as well as with their team. The entirety of Team8s hang out often enough to consider each-other a family of sorts, after all, there isn’t much else to do while they wait on Two to show up once more.
Maybe it's a little silly of an assumption for Pin to make, after all, they’ve barely even gotten together, let alone established team dynamics– But maybe this season won’t be so bad after all.
