Nightmares

Summary:

Buck remembered what Tommy told him after the night they had, “Now that the competition's out of the way."

Written for angst week, day 1: Nightmares

Work Text:

Buck was drowning, he had those feelings of drowning before with the tsunami, but now, now it was different, but still felt like drowning in the whirlpool of his heart.

He could feel the wave of the tsunami dragging him down again as he started a relationship with Tommy, his heart yearned for something else, someone else that he was drowning into those heart eyes.

Buck remembered what Tommy told him after the night they had, “Now that the competition's out of the way."

And when Maddie asked him if he is in love with Eddie, he denied.

He figured that maybe Maddie knew more than he was, as much as he denied, believing that Eddie is straight and not bi, as everyone wanted to see them together.

Buck sighed heavily, thinking of all the times that Eddie was there when he dislocated his shoulder, he was always there as Buck remembered, Tommy wasn’t.

He started thinking that maybe it was a good thing that Tommy broke up with him, but the feeling of drowning was still there and he felt suffocating.

Buck woke up with a gasp after feeling that something pressed on his chest.

“Evan, Buck, are you okay?” a voice asked him.

Buck didn’t recognize the voice at first, and then he nodded, he was glad that it was all a nightmare.

“I am, Eddie.” Buck thanked and glad that it was Eddie there, he could feel the strong arms putting him closer next to him.
