She splays her two hands in front of her, letting her bright golden magic flow through them and lighting up the entire room. He's not too concerned about what could be happening to him, he could be lit up from the inside entirely and he wouldn't notice or care. Not when he can finally see with his own eyes what Heaven lost 10,000 years ago.
Kneeling in front of him is Lucifer, radiating with all of her power, whether she realises it or not. He faintly sees a massive hole and cracks forming on the window behind her, letting Hell's natural red light clash with her golden one. It creates a perfect halo behind her, red and gold light mixed together. Demonic and Angelic light forming perfectly around her; two halves of the same coin.
As she keeps working, her eyes light up showing off that perfect mix of red and gold again. Those colours will always belong to her now. Completely for Lucifer to own.
Her snake winds down around her neck, who he briefly recalls meeting recently and is rather ironically called Eden, flicking her tongue out occasionally to no doubt catch the smells of flesh knitting back together and others native to Hell. Maybe just the Pride Ring if they're as different as Lucifer claims they are. Hmm, perhaps he could convince her to take him one day to see for himself? A thought for another time, however.
He can tell when Lucifer is nearly finished as the light dims considerably, and he doesn't feel like being on death's doorstep for a second time anymore. There's still enough light and time for him to figure out two undeniable truths about Lucifer, before she'll pull back and they will be on their way back to where the hotel once stood.
He brings one hand up to cradle Lucifer's face, which startles her slightly, but she leans into it all the same. Using that hand, he gently nudges her face down until they are mere inches apart. Then, they close the distance together.
He's never kissed anyone before, but he imagines this is the one most would wait their whole lives and afterlife for. It's soft, all things considered, but they keep leaning into the others space, wrapping arms around bodies, a tail curling around his leg. It's possessive then as well. And with nothing to compare it to, Alastor thinks that this is the best kiss he will ever have. Unless Lucifer decides to prove that wrong and make all their future kisses even sweeter.
Maybe it's just Lucifer that makes this the best thing he's ever experienced. And he's ok with that.
I get it now… she's an Angel.
