Angel
It was so shrill. A sound of fear peircing the night, grabbing the attention of dogs forcefully, adding more noise. Barks of danger alerting owners and others, especially me.
My eyes bolted open, yet my body stayed in place. The only part of my body moving was the heart in my chest, racing at a pace fueled by adrenaline. I was that kind of person, the one who froze in fear rather than be brave, like the ones that put up a fight or run to a safer place. I was utterly useless.
That terrified scream seased, somehow more horrifying. I could only lay there until I regained the ability to move my fingers around. A large breath escaping my mouth, stomach deflating. My eyes drifted closed slowly, I wasn't going to fall asleep just yet. I just need to think for a moment. Why did that scream happen? Were police called? Are they dead? Are those owners going to tell their dogs to shut up? I needed to ask questions first, figure out the situation for myself. It was so loud, like as if right by my house. Oh, I really don't want to answer cop questions, I'll get so nervous even though I've done nothing wrong.
My teeth gnaw on the sides of my finger, I'll be found guilty. Sent to prison then death row, they'll bring out the electric chair for what I've done. My front teeth clamped a loose peice of flesh, pulling suddenly. It really stung. The little sliver stayed between my teeth before getting swallowed so the chompers could go back to chewing. My free hand held onto my elbow, propping my left arm up so my hand could stay in place. I couldn't stop; The police were going to show up any minute with word I had done it. Sliding out of bed, grabbing a melatonin bottle, shaking out a pill. I went to the bathroom and turned on the faucet, placing my mouth under the water to get a big gulp, I toss the pill in and swallowed. I never put my pills in first, I needed to fill my mouth with water or else I'd choke, not literally... just felt like it. I climbed up back into my bed, grabbed a Squishmallow for a cuddle up, and hid under the thick blankets. It was finally silent, no dogs, no screams, no sirens, nothing.

My fangs were aching. A pain I haven't felt in ages, this is what happens when a vampire goes without feeding for three days. Throbs pulsated in my gums, begging to apply pressure in flesh. Sink those sharp fangs into something. My vision was tinted red, lighting up anything with a pulse, like infrared. My stomach twisted to an Eldridge Knot, a few pints could not untie this. A spot lit up bright white, blood. Only twenty feet from me, I had the energy to pounce if I wanted, but I needed to take this slow. I used my super speed to get directly behind them, grabbing the back of their neck, a blasting scream coming from their vocal chords as I shove them against a brick wall. The screaming didn't stop, only ten times louder due to my impeccable ears. This needed to be done fast before cops got called. Strong jaws crashed into the side of the humans throat, blood gushing into my mouth from forecful impact. They tried fighting back with such little power, even if I didn't bite them, they had no way of winning. Six foot five, two hundred pounds of pure muscle, no human will ever win against me.
Euphoria rushed over me. Blood sliding down my pharynx felt so warm, I could not stop the groan from coming up. Almost orgasmic, in a way. Devine pleasure hitting every nerve in my cold body, producing electricity and rocketlaunching it to my brain causing a more animal-like attitude.
Tearing off the protective covering, I spat it out with not so much grace. The flesh hit the grass and my mouth went to the very exposed wound that was draining blood into my chops. Swallowing each gulp, a thick syrup I very much enjoyed. Then the foutain stopped. Always the worst part.
I dropped the body, letting it flop down in a gross way. Body pale and chill, I didn't need to feel them to know that. Running my tongue over my lips, lapping up any blood I could reach. Savoring the fact the knot was undone with ease... yet why did my gut say one more? I suppose it has a point, there's no such thing as too much to a vampire. My eyes roamed around before going up, a rather rich house right before me, and I had just killed a human right outside their brick wall. Movement appeals my eyes, a little human with his curtain pulled up so anyone can look inside. Big mistake. He looked so adorable, anxious and cute, tasty combination! He disappears from the window view, most likely in bed for sleep, it is so late after all.
"One more..." I say, aloud, I needed him. He was a vessel of blood that'd send me into vampire heaven. Just invite me in...
