Summary
The moment hangs like the humidity in the forest, in their shared breath. It's there, unspeakable attraction that was supposed to be forbidden, but Arnold has gotten a taste of what it's like to be inside a pretty man, and Dean is used to savoring forbidden fruit. They could stop, awkwardly laugh over what amounts to nothing but tension in the air and head back to their separate tents.
But they decide not to.
"Fuck," Arnold growls, and neither he nor Dean quite sure who pulls on who first, but their bodies react upon impact as Arnold shoves Dean's back against the tree. Any air that gets knocked out of Dean's lungs is swallowed by Arnold, their kissing so much more heated and desperate than any of the simple pecks during rehearsal that made Jack's jaw clench and Tua look like someone had just kicked him.
Jack. Tua. Dean casts his determined quest to win back his ex out of his mind, eased by the ecstasy and liquor, much as Arnold ignores the idea of being exactly who and what Tua wants him to be because Arnold has his own ideas of who he is that he's never really going to get to examine.
