Summary
!! Big old warning before you even dive in that this work is unfinished, and ends quite abruptly. I wrote this about a year ago and am kind of proud of it even if I haven't had the motivation to write more, so I figured I'd dump off what I have here since it’s still 12k words of Chase angst. Lab Rats always needs more fan content anyway lol !!!
Branches off of s4e13-14: Bionic Action Hero, in the scene where Giselle has kidnapped Chase and trapped Bree, Adam, Leo, and Douglas in a building set to explode.
---Bree and Adam don't reach Chase in time, and Giselle rips the chip from his neck. The aftermath, Chase's struggles with himself without his bionics and with the enormity of what had happened to him. Douglas reveals a past mistake that makes Chase feel he doesn't know how to be human. Mr. Davenport comes in for a talk, and things only get worse. Bree, Adam, and Leo try to help while also trying to handle the fragility of Chase's emotional state.
