She opened her eyes, and the noise slowly faded away. Claudia smiled, her eyes glinting with a sense of pride. “Those were lots of vampire thoughts.” She said proudly. “It’s one way we can communicate without speaking, but you can’t hear your maker’s thoughts. It’s the same the other way around too.”“So, how do I hear your thoughts?” Madeleine asked curiously.
“I usually block my thoughts, which you can do with practice.” Claudia explained. “It keeps me safe.”
Madeleine frowned slightly. “But then, how do I know what you feel?”Claudia leaned towards her companion. “You don’t need to hear my thoughts to know how I feel.” She whispered, before closing the gap and pressing her lips against Madeleine’s.
