Maekar’s eyes locked onto his, instantly sharp. “What? Do you take me for an ignorant babe?”
“Tell me,” Baelor said, more firmly this time. “What do you think happens?”
Maekar frowned. “You rut in me and spill your seed,” he answered plainly. “And we couple thereafter until I quicken with child.”
Baelor was silent for a moment.
“That is all you know of a bedding?” he asked at last. “Ruttings?”
Maekar’s brow furrowed deeper. “What else is there?”
