Chapter Text
"Avery..."
Five years eh?
And to think Avery has moved on.
He works at a small café, as a barista. Served drinks, etc, yeah all of that shit.
He enjoyed it, he really did! Of course. But every new years he would call in sick, why? Well it was a puny excuse to sob for a certain someone. And I think you know who that is by now.
December 1st, 2031.
Avery groaned as he forced himself out of bed... Great, new years. Another day for himself. He decided to finally not rot in bed, it was a few hours till new years, that is. He slowly turned his head to that damn pc- No. Just no. But something about that damn world feels off. For some reason
He finally got up, rubbing his temples, he felt like hell just because he was rotting in bed. He dragged himself to his desk, immediately leaning on the chair after he just sat on it. "What am I doing.." He muttered, dragging his head forward as he opened Minecraft.
The world was still there, untouched. But how hasn't it deleted itself? Even I don't know.
He opened it without hesitation, spawning in his base. He grabbed some of his supplies before heading out, better safe than never. i know the saying is different, kill me.
AveryTheMayos POV, aka his skin.
The mine and the gates were still there, alongside the crossroads, still the same as years ago. Avery walked forward, palm resting on the gate doors. It was closed, but he had plans.
"Unfortunately for you, these blocks are breakable, and I have a pickaxe." Avery shamelessly declared, remembering that line all too well.
Of course, behind it was just darkness. Along with a golden block, Avery turned to walk away before realizing the gates were.. Open?
And behind it was the same place. Oh God, hes gonna have to experience everything again. But good thing hes aware.
Every gate was the same place, untouched. Before finally reaching the Cathedral, the platform where he was pushed off. His face scrunched up in worry, was D3rlords avatar still there? Or did he log off completely before writing the note? He ran. Ran to the middle before the platform formed again, he looked behind him to see-
"Derek?" Nothing. So he DID log off, didnt he..?
"God... I ran here for nothing..." Avery breathed, looking down at the void as he sat at the edge. "Wait..." Turning his render distance up, he could see bedrock. Bedrock. "Holy shit." Quickly as he could, he fell down and placed a slime block, landed directly on it. Skywars instinct, I guess. He ran into the distance, finally a trail! He ran as far as he could, before he stumbled apon another gate. He entered, of course he did.
There was hills, that reached miles. As it was covered in flower patches and life. Avery was astonished, the land was... Beautiful. If only Derek got to see this.
He wandered the hills, sometimes interacting with animals if he wanted. He felt tired, and he rested in the patches of flowers, he didn't really care. He closed his eyes for a second, enjoying the environment. And as he opened it, he spotted a figure in the distance. Getting smaller and smaller. "... What?" He slowly got up, theres no way that's Derek. That mans dead, and he wouldn't get his hopes up.
He quickly stood up and sprinted to the figure, they somehow aren't aware of the incoming humanoid slime. Which was honestly kinda funny, if you ask me.
And he was just behind the figure, slowing down to a walk. He tapped their shoulder. A padded shoulder, their face was enclosed in a golden helmet. The rest of their body covered by a majestic red cloak, enclosing their build. "..." The figure didn't answer, although he stopped for Avery to breathe. He turned his head to the man behind him.
"..Derek?" The figure didn't answer, just simply stared at the panting slime. Before finally saying something. "Avery.."
