    Wei Ying laughed, light and tinkering, watching Lan Zhan turn away so shyly. Her prince was far more reserved than the bold words of adoration she proclaimed. "Lan Zhan is so cute," she hummed. "So different from our letters. Are you sure it was really you who wrote them?"

    At that, Lan Zhan quickly looked back, eyes wide and fiery. She glowered down at the omega, offended. "No one else." She grabbed Wei Ying's shoulders in her hands, grip tight, and pulled her closer until they were nearly nose-to-nose. Soft lavender enveloped Lan Zhan, and she nearly growled deep in her chest. "No one else could love you as I do. Do not joke."
