Work Text:
Before Joe could knock on the door, Nicky pulled him and kissed him.
Joe: "Well, hello there. Did you really miss me that much?"
Nicky: "Yes, of course I did. The five hours we spent apart were pure torture."
Joe: "I know what you mean."
Nicky smiled and started pulling at Joe's shirt to get him moving.
Joe: "Are we going somewhere interesting?"
Nicky: "To the bedroom. And yes, I will tear the clothes you are wearing off your body, but first, I got a gift for you and your sore back."
Joe: "Both things do sound intriguing. Wanna tell me more about the gift?"
Nicky: "No, it has to be experiencing. Come along."
Joe could tell by looking at Nicky that he was close to bursting with excitement, so Joe went along with Nicky. When they reached the bedroom, Nicky looked at Joe.
Nicky: "Close your eyes, Joe."
Joe: "I don't know because I don't have the best track record when it comes to people asking me to close my eyes."
Nicky: "What do you mean?"
Joe rubbed his eye with his finger.
Joe: "Fanny, my dear sister, once asked me to close my eyes. I was five at that time. Anyway, she asked me to close my eyes because she told me she had a surprise for me. When I protested, she told me that if I didn't close my eyes, Santa wouldn't visit us that Christmas, because Santa only visited children who knew how to close their eyes."
Nicky: "That is a terrible thing to say."
Joe: "She was seven, so I have forgiven her for saying that about Santa. But what I haven't forgiven her for was what she did after I closed my eyes. She placed a chicken in my hands, and when the chicken looked at me and I at it, well, let's just say that the entire situation made Fanny laugh. And yes, even as an adult, she still finds the entire situation funny, which I don't."
Joe could tell Nicky found it hard not to laugh, so Nicky kissed Joe instead.
Nicky: "I promise there are no chickens behind the door. And I also promise you, Santa will visit you this Christmas."
Joe: "I believe in you. And that's why I will close my eyes."
Joe closed his eyes, and Nicky took his hands. Then, Nicky led Joe into the bedroom and asked him to sit down on the bed, which Joe did.
Nicky: "Now, try lying down."
Joe: "Okay, I will trust you."
Joe lay down, and seconds later, Nicky saw him smiling.
Nicky: "Do you like your gift?"
Joe: "Can I open my eyes now?"
Nicky: "Yes."
Joe opened his eyes and placed his hands on the mattress.
Joe: "Did you get new mattresses?"
Nicky: "Only one for you. You told me that the mattresses in my bed were too soft for you and your back, so when I stayed the night with you the last time, I took a photo of your mattress and bought a similar one for my bed. Do you and your back like it?"
Joe: "We bloody love it. Thank you for the gift, Nicky."
Nicky: "You are welcome. And now to the part where I tear the clothes of your body."
Joe smirked as he did his best imitation of a starfish with his body.
Joe: "Do your worst, Babe. I am all yours."
A second later, Nicky threw himself over Joe, but just as Nicky had gotten the shirt off Joe, the bed collapsed under them.
Nicky: "What the hell??"
Joe: "Is this also a part of my gift?"
Nicky: "Most definitely not. Are you okay?"
Joe: "Yeah, I am fine. What about you?"
Nicky: "Also fine. It looks like I have to get a new bed."
Nicky wanted to get up from the broken bed, but Joe kept him in place by placing his hand on Nicky's thigh.
Joe: "Here's an idea. We have been in a steady relationship for almost a year now, and since I spend more time here at your flat than at home, why don't I move my bed and myself over to this bedroom on a more permanent basis?"
It took Nicky a second to process what Joe had just said.
Nicky: "I would love that. Let's do it now."
Nicky once again tried to get up, but Joe still kept him in place.
Joe: "We can do that tomorrow. Right now, I want you to continue tearing the clothes off my body and do with me as you had planned to do."
Nicky: "Okay. I can do that, but couldn't we at least move the mattress somewhere else so we won't end up getting hurt during the act? I mean, there are sharp edges on the broken bed."
Joe: "Great idea."
After moving the mattress, they returned to Nicky's original plan that Joe loved.
