Chapter Text
Joe and Nicky decided it was about time to take a much-needed break when someone tried to kill them for the fifth time that day. So, they found shelter in a burned-out house and sat down to eat dinner.
Nicky: "I think it is your time to choose."
Joe: "You have let me choose so many times, so it is your turn. So, tell me, what do you dream of doing once this mission is over?"
Joe knew Nicky hated choosing stuff to do because, in Nicky's mind, as long as he was with Joe, he didn't mind what they did, so often it was Joe who chose what they should do.
Nicky: "I would love to go back to Montmartre in Paris."
Joe: "And? What else?"
Nicky: "I would love to see you paint again. And maybe be your muse again."
Joe: "I thought you hated being my muse. Most of all because you have to stay in the same position for a long while."
Nicky: "I never said I hated being your muse. I love it so much."
Nicky saw the smile on Joe's face, which made Nicky punch Joe on the shoulder.
Nicky: "Stop teasing me."
Joe: "It will never happen."
Joe kissed Nicky.
Joe: "I want you to do something you love while we are in Montmartre, something only for you."
Nicky: "I would love to read again, but I would also like to attend a pastry course."
Joe: "Oh, you should do that."
Nicky: "You are only saying that because you hope to lick the bowl or the dough of my body."
Joe: "You make it sound like something you don't enjoy."
Nicky: "I will never get tired of feeling your mouth on my body."
Nicky ate the rest of the stew before placing the plate on the ground.
Nicky: "That is why I dream of us finding a small flat in Montmartre with room for a big bed so that we can spend all day in bed, making love. I also want to walk along the Seine or through the narrow streets while holding your hand, while we talk about everything and nothing."
Joe took Nicky's hand in his before he leaned his forehead against Nicky's.
Joe: "I will do everything in my power to make that dream come through, because I also want to do what you just told me to do."
