Chapter 1: So it begins

Chapter Text

In a calm, quiet afternoon like a bad summer movie, the girl with striped side-tails sat on the curb in front of a comic shop. She didn't liked it and yet, she kept coming back there like it was the beach or her favorite coffee shop.

"Ugh... I can't believe i let them talk me into this thing. Fucking again..." she grumbled, her dislike for whoever called her to the shop obvious. "They're not even here yet! And I'm the one who's always late, huh?"

A pair of hands come down on her shoulders, startling her. Upon turning her head, she sees that it was one of the guys who called her there. Bill.

"Finally decided to show up now did you, white boy?" she bites, her raspy voice cutting through the peaceful afternoon.

"Don't you start, Raccoon. I came here early. Maybe you should get your eyes checked if you really didn't see me." the boy with glasses retorts back, flicking Raccoon's glasses and tilting them, earning a smack upside his head from the girl as she gets up.

"No you didn't. If you had, I definitely would've seen you. I've been sitting here for ten minutes!" she says, shoving Bill. She was always weirdly violent with them for an unknown reason. As Bill shoves her back, others start to arrive. A tall, blond boy and a shorter, black haired boy with a red baseball cap.

"Ohh, drama. Since when are you two dating?" the boy with the baseball cap teases. Both Bill and Raccoon turn to him, "WE ARE NOT---" followed by their own reasons for not dating each other rings out, the boy with the red baseball cap was enjoying the chaos.

After a few minutes of arguing, they calm down. Raccoon looks around. "Is Josh not coming? Or is he just late?"

Bill scoffs. "Why don't you call him if you're that worried, Raccoon?" earning another smack on the head by the girl.

"I'm asking because you four are basically attached by the hip you virgin." she replied. "Pete, do you know?" she asks the boy with the red baseball cap, Pete.

"Why would i?" he answers, rolling his eyes. Then all the eyes turn to the tall blond. "What?" he asks, vaguely confused.

"Can you call him?" Raccoon asks. "Why me? You call him if you wanna see him that much." Raccoon scowls. "I don't have any minutes, i never do, you guys should know that by now. Can you call him or not, Jerry?"

The blond boy, Jerry, reluctantly pulls out his phone, a blackberry curve with a dark green case and dials Josh's number. It rings for a few minutes before a rough, sick toned voice answers; "What?.." After a moment of collective silence, Raccoon speaks; "Are you alright?" to which Josh replies, "Do i sound alright, you fucking bimbo?"

"I was trying to be nice, dickhead!" Raccoon retorts back. She was expecting some sort of nickname of course but it was still annoying. "Go to hell and save me spot!" she yells at Jerry's phone before Josh hangs up. Bill scoffs once again. "What were you expecting you moron?" which, again, earning him a smack on the back of his head from Raccoon. "Shut up you talking zit. I'm trying to be nice to you guys and you two keep insulting me for it, it's like i'm back in Turkiye." She bites. "Are we going in or not?"

Jerry raises an eyebrow. "You're Turkish?" Raccoon looks at him, "Does my accent not give it away? Or how much trouble i have with pronouncing some words?"

"You don't have an accent. I do." Pete adds. Raccoon rolls her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, whatever." she turns to get into the comic store, followed by the trio.
