Summary
So it turns out that Danganronpa was a virtual simulation, ultimates aren't real. Team Danganronpa was a cult who took people with quirks, made them forget about 'em and threw them into a killing game.
When it ended the memories of the killing game were supposed to be wiped, but an error occurred and they all remembered of it. All 16 students were put in a facility for their first few months back in reality to help them recover. After they were released back into society some joined schools for education and some just..free-balled it. (is that the saying?) during the few months at the facility, Shuichi and Kokichi started dating, once released, they signed up for U.A and got in!! (yay) But for privacy reasons, the 16 students had all traces of them being in a killing game wiped.
