Kirishima's hardened fist connected with the villains face with a sickening crack.
The red head along with Bakugo we're out at a press conference with their teacher Aizawa. Their teacher brought along the two hero's in training after they won a mini pairs competition. Being in their third year at UA, Aizawa trusted them to be able to interact with the public. All three were dressed in their hero gear. The conference had been going well. Aizawa even let Kirishima and Bakugo answer a few questions. However, peace didn't last.
A group of villains charged the conference all at once. Aizawa was immediately up and shouting orders. Kirishima had jumped from the stage and started swinging, no questions asked. Bakugo was close behind him, blasting over top of him and landing on a villains shoulders. The villian had immediately folded under the sudden weight. Kirishima forced himself to focus on the villains charging him. As he fought, he took notes of everyone's positions.
Aizawa was fighting three villains at once, all while trying to call for backup and get any civilians out of harms way. The red head could see that one villain was using bombs as a cover for everyone. While another was trying to cover Aizawa's eyes. The third was currently trying to attack any civilian within reach. Kirishima himself was right next to the stage. He was up against someone with a slime like quirk and a guy with stretchy skin. Bakugo was a few feet in front of him. The blonde was up against some guy with a speed quirk of some kind.
Kirishima managed to trap slime guy under a concrete slab. He would free them later when arrests were made. The red head moved to focus on stretchy guy. He couldn't land a solid hit so he had to think outside the box. After a few minutes of a useless back and forth, Kirishima noticed something. Stretchy guy would only stretch on impact. But if Kirishima was smart with his punches, he could delay the point of impact and trick this guy. The red head gave a few normal punches before testing his theory. Kirishima threw a right hook at the guys jaw. But he slowed down slightly right before he hit. The guys skin had gone back to normal just as Kirishima's fist connected. He fell to the ground with a hard thud.
Kirishima let out a small laugh and turned to tell Bakugo about his amazing thinking skills. Only when Kirishima turned around he stood stunned. Bakugo was blasting in the air, avoiding hits from the speed villain below. The blonde had sweat building up on his face. But more than that, he looked ecstatic. Kirishima knew that the blonde loved a fight. But he couldn't even begin to describe the look in Bakugo's eyes currently. Kirishima had seen him angry, happy, sad, and even scared. And more recently, he'd seen Bakugo's eyes hold a strong declaration of love.
The red head had asked the blonde out a few months ago. But if he was honest? He's loved Bakugo since first year. The blonde was every thing he could ever ask for. He was confident, strong, he defended himself and others. He cared for their friends. He was smart and an amazing hero. He was just so manly. He lived without regrets and spent his time working to be the best. And in Kirishima's eyes he already was.
The red head remembers Bakugo saying that he had liked him for a long time as well. They had both laughed about how stupid it was that they waited this long to confess to the other. But Kirishima couldn't be more happy with how things happened. Yeah, they could've been together sooner. But Kirishima had watched Bakugo break first year. He had died. Then Midoriya lost his quirk, and suddenly everyone realized just how fragile they all were. They were just kids after all. And they had fought a war. They were used as weapons.
No one in their class was in the right headspace for a relationship. Kirishima remembers just wanting to hold Bakugo close. To help him keep track of his meds and keep up with physical therapy. And even as they entered second year, the time still wasn't right. Sure everyone had learned how to function again. But Bakugo still got nightmares, his arm still froze up, his heart still let out sharp pains after particularly hard blasts. It wouldn't have been far to ask the blonde to spread himself between recovery and Kirishima. Then third year rolled around.
Kirishima had been so worried that he'd never get his chance. That he'd always be stuck as the blondes best friend. Sure the idea hurt but he would take what he could get. But then, Kirishima noticed that something had changed. Not just in Bakugo, but in their whole class. Midoriya was outspoken and witty again. Todoroki was smiling more and cracking jokes. Iida was letting people get away with petty things and even tagging along sometimes. Uraraka held her head up and walked with confidence now.
Denki was making jokes and acting like a bundle of energy. Sero was teasing people again, even going as far as to teach their teachers. Mina was planning girls nights again. Even Kirishima had changed. He was laughing more, speaking up without fear. He even upheld his boundaries instead of folding like before. But the best change was in Bakugo. The blonde would smile now. He'd let himself laugh more. And best of all? He showed affection openly, not just with Kirishima but with everyone.
The blonde would cook the class breakfast. He would help Todoroki be assertive. He would study with the squad after dinner. He'd even talk with Midoriya about new hero techniques and help him take notes. The change in no only his friends but his class made his heart soar. Because they were finally back. They weren't the same scared kids anymore. They didn't hide away when people looked. They didn't run from danger. They held their heads high and with confidence. They weren't the same kids that fought in a war and left broken. No. They may have been hero's before but now?
They felt like hero's now.
The change gave Kirishima the confidence he needed to ask Bakugo out finally. And too his absolute delight, the blonde said yes. And as Kirishima began to see and learn a new side of Bakugo throughout their relationship. He couldn't help but feel like it was all worth it. Because yeah, they could've been together sooner. But it wouldn't have been or felt the same. Not when they waited until both of them had grown into the people they always wanted to be. And Kirishima was content with that fact.
But even though he was content with they fact that it was better for them to wait to get together. He couldn't help his mind from wondering. He would wait over a million lifetimes if it meant that in the end he'd end up with Bakugo in his arms. But now that he had the blonde, he couldn't imagine waiting for anything else. They'd already waited long enough to be together. And Kirishima knew that Bakugo was it for him. He wanted them to grow old together and have a family. Sure the idea was scary but Kirishima has never been so sure in his life.
And as Kirishima watched Bakugo finally manage to capture the villain and pull him in by the collar. He felt a large, dopey smile spread across his face. He quickly jogged over to Bakugo and the villain.
"Katsuki!" the blonde and the villain in his arms turned. Kirishima stopped in front of them. "Will you marry me?" Bakugo's face contorted from shock to surprise until it finally settled on an expression that screamed 'Really? Right now?'
"I don't think now is the best fucking time to ask me that shitty hair." Kirishima heard footsteps gaining on him. He whipped around quickly and punched the slime villain from before. The villain fell back with a groan. Kirishima turned towards Bakugo again.
"Now may be the only time! I already waited to ask you out, I'm not waiting on this." Kirishima stepped closer to the blonde. The villain in Bakugo's hand looked between them with wide eyes. "I love you Katsuki. I've already made my choice. So what's yours?" Bakugo stared back at Kirishima. The villain stared up at Bakugo as the blonde thought about it. Then, a wide smirk came across Bakugo's face. The blonde dropped the villain in his hand. The villain let out a shrill shout as he fell to the ground.
"Aizawa-sensei!" both boys turned towards their teacher. "Marry us!" Aizawa looked up from where he was cuffing a villain under his boot. Two other villains tied up behind him. A bored expression covered his face.
"I'm a little busy at the moment." Kirishima pouted as Bakugo glared down at the man. Suddenly the villain from before stood up.
"Actually, we'd all love to be witnesses. I'm sure we could take a small break for this." both boys whipped around as Aizawa gave the man a shocked expression.
"You're kidding." the slime villain from before sat up and rubbed his jaw.
"Nah man! Young love is adorable! We'd love to watch these two get married real quick!" Kirishima turned and smiled brightly at Bakugo. The blonde gave a cocky smirk, crossing his arms as he stared down his teacher. Aizawa glanced between the boys and the villains. Then he looked down to the villain in cuffs.
"What about you?" the villian looked over at the young couple and smiled.
"Sure, I'm going to jail in about an hour so why not." Aizawa let out a tired sigh and stood. He placed his hands on his hips.
"You two are both eighteen?" Bakugo nodded then turned to Kirishima. Then red head nodded his head quickly.
"Just turned eighteen two months ago!" Aizawa sighed while rubbing his temples.
"Alright. You two cuff and grab those guys. I guess we're heading to a church." Kirishima pumped his fist in the air and ran to the slime villain. The man held out his hands expectantly. Kirishima made quick work of cuffing and picking up the stretchy guy from before. He didn't want anyone to be left out after all! Bakugo smiled as he cuffed the speed villain. Aizawa grabbed the villain under his boot and threw him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Using his scarf to drag the other two captured villains behind him. All three heros along with the group of villains made the short journey to a small church two blocks away.
Once they made it, Aizawa made quick work of tying all the villains into the pews of the church. Kirishima and Bakugo walked up to the altar with their hands interlocked. Aizawa followed once the last villain was secure. The older hero rummage behind the altar before pulling out a marriage certificate. The stood tall and looked down at his students with a blank expression.
"Alright. Do you two want the whole spiel or just something short and cute?" Kirishima looked at Bakugo and the blonde looked at their teacher offended.
"It's our wedding day. We want to do it right." Kirishima turned back to Aizawa and nodded curtly. The man let out a heavy sigh.
"Whole spiel it is." Aizawa took a deep breath as the two boys moved to face each other. "We are gathered here today to witness the joining of two young souls." Aizawa spoke in monotone but their was a small smile on his face. Kirishima couldn't stop smiling down at Bakugo. Their eyes locked as their teacher spoke. "Do you two want to do vows?" Bakugo looked at Aizawa then at Kirishima in question. The red head just smiled and held out his hands.
"Come." Bakugo's eyes sparkled as he grabbed Kirishima's hands without hesitation.
"You stupid or something?" Kirishima beamed as he nodded at Aizawa to continue. The man shook his head slightly but continued.
"Kirishima Eijirou, do you take Bakugo Katsuki to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do."
"Bakugo Katsuki, do you take Kirishima Eijirou-"
"Fuck yeah!"
Kirishima let out a loud laugh as Aizawa sighed. Bakugo simply smirked. Aizawa turned the marriage certificate around and pushing it towards the boys. He held out a pen to the two.
"Please sign your names on the appropriate lines. And please make the signature legible." the man shot a glare at Bakugo as the blonde grabbed the pen with a huff. Bakugo signed his name before handin the pen to Kirishima. The red head looked at the certificate for a moment before smiling. He signed it quickly, a small smile on his face. Kirishima quickly shoved the paper back to Aizawa before Bakugo could see what he wrote. Aizawa took his pen and the certificate back with an eyebrow raised. He red over the signatures before giving the red head a knowing look. Kirishima blushed slightly as Aizawa cleared his thoat.
"I now pronounce you married. You may kiss your groom." Kirishima surged forward, grabbing Bakugo's cheeks as their lips met. Bakugo wrapped his arms around Kirishima's waist and smiled into the kiss. Kirishima pulled away after a moment, happy tears running down his face. Bakugo laughed softly and placed their foreheads together. Kirishima sniffled and whispered down softly at the blonde.
"Are you sure?" Bakugo snorted.
"Little late for that. But yeah, I'm sure."
"How sure?" Bakugo held Kirishima's face as his smile widened.
"It has to be you Eijirou. Because it's always been you. So I'd say I'm pretty fucking sure." Kirishima sobbed and kissed Bakugo again. The blonde felt his own eyes fill with tears as he kissed his husband back. Meanwhile, Aizawa moved to the pews and handed the pen to the speed villain from before.
"Please sign here as witness." the villain signed his name with a smile.
"Does this mean you're gonna let us go home-"
"Not a chance in hell." the villain let out a knowing sigh.
"Worth a shot."

The next day, Aizawa accompanied Kirishima and Bakugo to the court house to get their marriage finalized. After they left the court house Aizawa took the teens to a jewelry shop. Eijirou picked out a silver band while Bakugo picked out a gold. After paying all three left, both boys admiring their new accessory. Once all three made it back to UA Aizawa gave the newlyweds a piece of advice.
"Marriage for heros is hard. But I believe that you two can do anything if you work hard enough. Congratulations, and please try not to disturb to many people tonight. I'd rather not have to seperate you on your wedding night." Bakugo scoffed and flipped Aizawa off as he walked away. Eijirou giggled and pulled the blonde into the dorms. As the two walked into the common room Mina perked up.
"Ah! It's my favorite gays! Where were you guys? I saw you leave with Aizawa-sensei." Denki turned to face the couple.
"Yeah! We've all been wondering what you guys were up to!" Bakugo rolled his eyes as Midoriya piped up suddenly.
"Did it have to do with the battle yesterday? Are you guys okay?" the red head smiled and held up his left hand along with Bakugo's. Their friends mouths dropped open.
"Bro, there's no way-"
"You're kidding! Kirishima! I was supposed to be maid of honor-"
"Kacchan, did you guys really-"
Bakugo flushed as Eijirou giggled happily. All three ran over and hurled question after question at the two. Bakugo grumbled out answers as the red head just smiled happily. Then Midoriya turned to the Eijirou.
"Kirishima, I never thought you'd ask so soon-"
"Actually Midoriya, I'm not a Kirishima anymore." everyone's eyes snapped to the red head. Bakugo's mouth fell open. "I took my husbands name. It's Bakugo now." Mina started screaming and shaking Denki. Said blonde had a horrified look on his face as he let Mina shake him. Midoriya was looking between the newlyweds. Eijirou turned to look down at Bakugo. The blonde was as red as a tomato. A shocked expression on his face. The red head smiled and kissed his cheek lightly.
Bakugo blinked before grabbing the red heads wrist and pulling him up to his dorm. Once inside Bakugo stared at his husband bewildered.
"You didn't."
"I did."
"... why?" Eijirou walked over to Bakugo. He wrapped his arms around the blondes waist and smiled.
"Because it's always been you Katsuki." Bakugo felt tears fill his eyes. To avoid crying in front of the red head he leaned in and kissed him. Eijirou kissed back with a smile. They went on to open an agency and have three children together. And they did it all together.
As Eijirou and Katsuki Bakugo.
