Summary
"Is it kind of twisted if I think I'd have prefered to have gone my whole life thinking he hated me for kissing the White Queen's son in Tulgey Wood through the dodos?" Max said wetly. "At least then it would have felt like there was nothing I could do to change it."
There as a slight shift in Luis' posture, his comfortable slouch replaced with something stiff, his jaw tightening as he stood up a little straighter. He couldn't have played it off if he tried, the awkward tickle in his throat sounding like a foghorn in the quiet room. Max didn't withdraw fully, but the feeling of arms freezing around him was enough to let him know that something had changed. He cocked his head, biting the skin from his lip as he tried to figure out his next move.
"Do they not teach you about gay people at the schools in Auradon? Not very progressive of them."
Max is pulling away from everyone and everything, and Luis just knows it has something to do with the pocket watch that nobody will tell him anything about. The Hatter's cottage leaves him with more questions than answers.

Summary
"Max, you are nothing like your dad," Luis said, his voice steady and fiercely certain. "You're your own person."
He didn't move his hand. Instead, he leaned in just a fraction closer, his gaze dropping briefly to Max’s mouth before snapping back to his eyes.
The air between them turned electric, stealing the air right out of Max’s lungs. Sitting flush against Luis, he was acutely aware of how perfectly they fit together. Max’s pulse raced at a dizzying speed, a dangerous, beautiful heat blooming in his chest that he could no longer deny as hatred. He loved this. He loved him.

Summary
“Is Sherwood actually cursed?” Felix asked, Hazel reached over to him, smacking him harshly against his shoulder.
“Ow!”
“You get scared by this piece of crap and then continue to ask more questions?!” She exclaimed, crossing her arms.
Felix pouted, “Squirmy is recording!” As if emphasizing his point, he gestured towards Squirmy, his frightened demeanor long gone, replaced with a cheerful grin, Felix smiled back at him before waving Hazel off. “‘Sides, I doubt this thing is actually going to answer me.”
“Haunted.”
Hazel glared at the boy, “You were saying?” She gritted.
