Summary
The Uchihas were planning a Coup, Itachi and Shisui were sure of it. The Clan Head had given his approval so this coup was going to happen no matter what they wanted.
Their Clan was planning a coup against the village they grew up in, the village they served. It would end with untold consequences for both sides, and Itachi wanted his little brother far, far away from all this nonsense.
But who should they go to?
(In which, instead of going to the trusted leader, the Sandaime Hokage of the Village Hidden in the Leaves, the Uchiha cousins run to their ANBU leader, Friend-Killer Kakashi for help)
