The first time Heisenberg had witnessed the married couple in the throws of a passionate night had been an accident. He was up in his attic workshop and went to smoke at the window when his eyes were drawn to the movement in the lit window below him. The cigar was forgotten as he watched the wife, Mia- if his memory recalls right- on top of her husband, Ethan, who was spread eagle on their bed.
