   Summary

   It’s Adolin and Shallan’s 15th wedding anniversary. Their marriage has been rough, to put it lightly. Adolin is a stranger to his own wife, and he has to face the truth and ask Shallan once more to let him in or he’d let her go. But before he can confront her, Shallan rips the rug right from underneath him.

   Adolin drowns his anger and heartbreak with wine. Kaladin is there for him, as always, and in a drunken state, Adolin sees another truth in Kaladin’s eyes, one he’d been blind to all these years.
