Chapter Text
“Wow you actually showed up.”
“Can’t say no to a friend can I?”
…
Fluixon knows that he made many mistakes, from believing Island 1’s propaganda, to assassinating most of Island 2’s leaders and framing Saps for it. It's funny how he never really acknowledged his mistakes until he drew his final breath – blood pooling around him with Saps cradling his limp body in his arms.
‘He shouldn't let my blood stain his hair…it would get dirty…’
“Hey Saps, I’m sorry. I’m sorry for the fact I used your house to assassinate the leaders, sorry for framing you for the assassintion and sorry for causing the whole world to turn against you. I know you probably won't forgive now or ever, but if I’m leaving this world I’m not leaving it with regrets.”
“Just shut up! You're making yourself lose more blood!-”
“Saps I love you, there's not a single day that I didn't regret picking you to take the blame. I had been too stubborn – too in denial to believe that sense of warmth around you was real, brushing it away for what I thought could truly bring peace. If I were to think about it now, I really only felt at ease when I was spending time with you, mining for diamonds… building your vacation home that started this whole mess. Maybe if I had been a little bit more selfish, things would have been different. I hope that once I’m gone, you can forget me – forget the pain and sorrow that I brought to you. And truly live freely like you were always meant to.”
“You asshole don't leave me alone here…”
‘You were a wonderful experience…’
But by then not a sound came out from the latter’s mouth.
…
Fluixon wasn't expecting to open his eyes again. However, he opened his eyes to see himself floating in a black void with ish standing across from him.
“ ish..? Where am I?”
“Technically you died, but I managed to grab your soul before it was sent to the void. I guess you could say its like the bridge between life and death.”
“Why..?”
“I’m going to be very honest with you. This ending is not what I had hoped for. Even though I am meant to remain neutral to whatever decisions my world makes, I still consider them as my children – including you Fluixon. Everyone is left picking up the pieces of the war, Saps is devastated and refuses to leave his home if not to visit your grave. This seems like a far too depressing ending for such an optimistic and positive person. So, I’m giving you a choice, one is that I’ll continue to let your soul travel to the void and you'll actually die for real, or I send you back – back to a time before any of this had started and entrust you to truly find an ending befitting of everyone including you and Saps. So what's it gonna be?”
“...ish, look me in the eye and tell me I would actually pick the first one.”
ish smiled “I guessed so. I’ll send your soul over to your body a week before everything had started, I trust that this time, you will make a decision you won't regret.”
“I hope so too.”
