Chapter 1: Soulmates

Chapter Text

Marinette Dupain-Cheng was on the floor of her bedroom, face flat against the wood.

She had fallen after hearing her mother downstairs screaming her name and telling her that she was going to be late for her first day of school but the girl wasn't really worried about that right now, no, she was worried about someone's feeling and all she could do was flip herself on her back and sigh.

“I really hope my soulmate isn't angry at me...”

The girl always felt very sorry for her soulmate every time she got hurt, it could not be easy to share pain with someone as clumsy as her while they themselves seemed to rarely get hurt.

As she got up from the floor and got dressed up Marinette started to get into a better mood, maybe this year would be the one where she would meet with her fated person.

Chloé Bourgeois was in her limo when she felt a sudden pain travel across her body and focusing on her face.

“Putain!” Her screaming was followed by her massaging her nose.

Her reaction was more of a reflex than one made by annoyance at her situation. After all she didn't really mind the pain from her other half, at least not anymore, it had been something that she hated when it first started to happen but had since then become used to it.

“Did they run into a truck or what ?”

Chloé had started to make a sort of game out of those pain, the “Guess What Happen To Your Soulmate Game” where she imagined ridiculous scenario for the origin of her soulmate's pain. At least for the lesser one. Which were most of them, with how little she usually felt she knew that none of it was serious. They were probably just extremely clumsy.
