Summary
Spider was sent back to High Camp after almost dying in his sleep. He takes the journey alone going with the Wind Traders. Jake asked Norm to let him know when Spider arrived. The Tlalim clan made it, but Spider wasn’t with them. Jake learned their caravan had been attacked by Mangkwan raiders and one of the gondolas was shot down - the one Spider was on. There was a search, but no survivors were found. Spider was dead. The Sully children were devastated. They had lost another brother. Spider’s death also fractured and broke the family beyond repair.
Four years later: Pain was the only thing holding the Sullys together as they go on barely living. Kiri, Lo'ak, and Tuk forged their own paths. Jake and Neytiri knew better than to stop them.
Then word gets back to the family that Spider is alive! After four years of believing he was dead! Everyone is excited to welcome him back home… until they're faced with an unexpected realization, he isn’t the Spider they knew. He’s breathing Eywa’eveng’s air and has a kuru!
