Summary
It was different. That was the first thing Draco noticed as he stepped onto the platform. He couldn’t have told you what it was that had changed. The train was the same. The brick walls. The steam, filling the air with an all too familiar smell. The screeching of the wheels as they stopped on the tracks in front of children and parents, engaging in tearful goodbyes and joyful hugs of being reunited. The start of a new year, the way it had always been. Except, he wasn’t supposed to be there.
After the war and trials both Draco and Harry go back to Hogwarts for their eighth year. They both have secrets they have sworn to themselves not to share with a single soul. Secrets that could ruin what little they have left.
Harry can tell Draco's hiding something, and he's determined to find out what. Harry is, once again, becoming obsessed with Draco Malfoy.Meanwhile, Hermione is trying not to fall apart. Harry and Ron are both so broken, and if she doesn't take care of them, then who will? Not that anyone takes care of her. She doesn't mind though.
