The Earth abounds
In glorious wonders
For all who seek
Its glorious fruits
Blessed by the air
Who provides one’s breath
Blessed by the leaves
Who feed and shelter
Blessed by the water
Who quenches one’s thirst
Blessed by the fire
Who’s light guides us all
Light.
Such a divine thing.
Entwined
With diverse connotations.
From the fire,
Who conquers night’s darkness.
From the bulb,
Who guides one in the home.
From the being,
Who kindles all of souls.
From the star,
Who guides the weary night.
Night.
Such an alluring thing.
Entwined
With diverse connotations.
From the star,
Who upholds devotion.
From the sky,
Who maintains its darkness.
From the Moon,
Who watches over Earth.
From the planets,
Who accompanies Earth.
Planets.
Such recent not.
Entwined
With diverse connotations.
From Venus,
Whose light burns bright.
From Mars,
Who’s Earth’s dearest.
Such recent not.
At least…
In Earth’s proximity.
From Cuancoá,
With its light years,
It holds ‘round three hundred.
From Kepler-22b,
Who holds ‘round six hundred.
Exoplanets.
Such fairly recent.
While the Earth abounds,
It also destructs.
While providing fruits,
It also withdraws.
Used for reasoning
To seek elsewhere.
While exploring,
One tends to discard,
Universal abundance
Of love for Earth.
Long ago,
Lived a fire
And a leaf.
Bound for love,
They agreed
To ally.
Through all trials,
They proved
Stubborn bonds.
Until,
The fire
Broke the faith.
From the fire,
Supposed to conquer darkness.
However,
Became one with it all.
The leaf,
Out of rage,
Snatched his glory.
Out of rage,
Held forever.
Alongside her,
Wept the night sky.
Out of woe,
Children hid.
Out of woe,
They shone not.
Alongside her,
Irate the universe.
Out of rage,
Cursed was him.
Out of rage,
Guilt raided.
Again and again,
Universe attempted
Reconciliation.
Though with strife,
Juxtaposed
With such love.
Again and again,
They loved
They loathed.
Yearning
For utmost unity,
Stardust
Gathered ‘round
To create
Beloved gifts.
From Cuancoá,
Blessed with its heat,
Whose light is much to bear.
From Kepler-22b,
Blessed with its life,
Whose land holds abundance.
While apart,
Both yearned
To find
One another.
While stars wept,
Over hopeless gatherings,
Neither wavered.
Until,
Finally…
They crashed.
While stars rejoiced,
Over hopeful reunions,
The fire and leaf?
They met not.
Until,
Unfortunately…
Their words fought.
While stars wept,
Over hopeless outcomes,
They reconciled.
Until,
Unfortunately…
The leaf
Was captured.
By a
Universal foe.
Unrelenting
The foe
Wrecked life
Wherever
They went
Whenever
They wanted
The fire
And allies
Fought valiantly
To rid
The foe
The foe
Fought back
Although,
Successful not.
Such a success.
The foe
Flew away
Appeared not.
All rejoiced
Over victory.
But now,
As they ponder,
The leaf?
Was seen not.
But now,
As they all heal,
The fire?
Merry not.
And now,
As normal comes,
Universe longs
Yearns
For true love’s
Reconcile
To remember
Their love
The universe
Upholds planets
In all its glory
So one day
One faithful day
They love
They long
Evermore
