Part 1: A Rough Beginning

It's safe to say, you hadn't wanted this at all. But, life had a way of messing everything up.

Y/n L/n, an average teen by all accounts. Passable grades and a clean history. No grand aspirations of changing the world. A basic seventeen year old girl who loves her parents and her twin brother. You kept to yourself most of the time when you were outside of the house. Your friends were normal too. You blended in. And that's how you liked life.

So then why were you here.

You found yourself sitting on a white pleather chair in the living room of your parents' New York apartment. Though the weather was fairly cold outside, the temperature inside felt warmer than ever. Across the table from you sat an older man dressed for bush-whacking in the jungle. His left hand clicked when he moved it, and his expression was serious, yet friendly.

You wanted to ask this Indiana Jones wannabe what he was doing here, but your mouth stayed shut.

The man spoke. "Hey, y/n. My name is Joseph Joestar. I work with your parents at the Speedwagon foundation."

You gazed across the room to see your parents looking nervously at you from the kitchen.

So they were the ones who started this. Huh.

"Y/n." Mr. Joestar spoke again. "I need you to show me your stand."

"My what?" You replied.

"It's an embodiment of your fighting spirit." Mr. Joestar continued.

"I've never punched anyone in my life." You retorted.

"That's not the point, y/n." The older man sighed into his mechanical hand "It's meant to represent your soul. I know you've seen a ghostly figure. Your brother has one too."

Oh. He was talking about that.

You brought out your "stand" as he called it. In a second, a ghostly orange lady stood next to you. She was covered in jeweled bands and flowing fabric. She moved with the tinkling of bells as she turned to look at Mr. Joestar. Mr. Joestar, meanwhile looked like he had never seen a stand before. Atleast not one that looked like this.

Does my stand look weird?

You remembered your brother's stand, a large book that, when opened, faces floated out of and spoke to you. You had made fun of him for it's odd looks at the time, but now, you were questioning if you had the out of place stand.

"Does she have a name?" Mr. Joestar asked, startling you from your thoughts.

"Sunset Guardian." You replied.

You had chosen the name due to your stand's first appearance. You had taken a wrong turn a few days ago on your way to school, when you accidentally stepped on something sharp. You shook the object out and, seeing you were running late, chose to run down an alleyway to shave a few minutes off of your time. Some thugs jumped out and had been looking to beat the crap out of you when your stand had shown itself for the first time. One moment you were in the alleyway, the next, you stood in front of your school with your shimmering spirit friend beside you.

She looks like a sunset and her position is a guardian. It just seemed fitting.

Mr. Joestar had walked over to your parents and begun discussing something in hushed whispers. You stood up and marched over to them, confusion written all over your face.

"Mr. Joestar, what's going on?"

The older man turned to look at you. Suddenly, purple thorned vines began to snake around his arms. "Y/n, a few days ago, these manifestations known as stands began appearing." He pointed to his arm. "This is my stand. It allows me to manipulate machinery and transmit things psychically. I do have to destroy a 3000 yen camera to get a good photo though." He smiled and his stand disappeared. "I call it: Hermit Purple."

That thing looks nothing like a hermit. Wtf?

"What's your stand ability?" Asked the old man. You materialized Sunset next to you once more.

"She can do this."

You reached beneath the shimmering fabric and retrieved a can of soda. "I stock them and she carries them around for me. It makes everyday life a whole lot easier."

"I've never seen a spacial manipulation stand before." Mr Joestar commented, scratching his beard.

"Oh no, she just has arms." You replied. Sunset's shawls moved to reveal not 2, not 4, but 6 arms, all of them holding cans of lime soda. You opened the soda can in your hands and took a swig.

"Y/n that's still spacial manipulation. Physical objects like the soda can disappear with Sunset Guardian when she leaves." Mr Joestar explained. "Can she do anything else?"

"We've noticed you're leaving the apartment later than usual." Your father chimed in "And yet there are no records from the school of you being late."

"Right," you responded, "There's that too." You closed your eyes and visualized yourself being across the room, in front of the kitchen drawer. Opening your eyes, you found yourself there, with everyone in the room staring at you in awe. Retaining your composure, you quickly swiped a curly straw from the drawer and placed it in your drink. Sweet, bubbly goodness flowed over your tongue as Mr Joestar escorted your parents into the other room to discuss "important matters"

You leaned onto the kitchen counter, resting your hands on the cool, stone surface. What the hell is this even about anyways? Why is this knockoff Steve Irwin questioning me and not my brother too? Matter of fact, where is b/n? You looked around for b/n, only to remember that he was still at school for science club. What a nerd.

You relaxed, breathing a sigh of relief. As long as this new change didn't shake up your life too much, you didn't have too much of a problem.

Mr. Joestar walked back into the room with both of your parents behind him. "Well, what's the verdict?" You asked. It's probably nothing, I don't have much to offer anyways.

Your parents shared a knowing look and then turned back. "Well honey, we've talked it over." Your father began. "And we've come to a decision." Decision on what? Your parents looked at you with excitement behind their eyes.

"You're going to Japan!"

What.

The.

FUCK???????

Part 2: Off to Japan!

And so you found yourself on a plane to Japan of all places. Mr Joestar had left you the evening to pack (which was surprisingly easy due to Sunset's ability to hold your bags for you) and prepare for the trip. That morning you said goodbye to your family members and gotten into a Speedwagon foundation vehicle. At the airport, you met up with Mr. Joestar and his friend, Muhammad Avdol. In no time flat, the three of you had boarded the plane.

Unfortunately, due to being the smallest member of the trio, you were forced into the middle seat. You quickly found yourself squashed between the two larger men, upper arms firmly pressed to the sides of your ribcage. The least they could have done was give me an armrest.

Turning slightly to your right, you looked towards Mr. Joestar. "Excuse me, but what is this whole stand thing about anyways?" The older man looked up from his candy crush and adjusted to face you. Unfortunately, his bicep was now directly over your face.

"Did you say something, kid?"

You tried to speak, but only muffled vowels came out. "Sorry kiddo, I thought you asked me something," the older man rotated back into position, freeing you from your appendage prison. I'll just ask him after we land.

Your awareness was suddenly brought to the cell phone tucked into the side pouch of your backpack. You had been watching a movie on the way to the airport. The subtitles were stuck playing across the screen. At the time it had seemed like a curse. But now, it seemed more like a blessing.

Your backpack sat in front of you, squashed between your legs and the seat in front of you. Conveniently close, yet tantalizingly far.

Yes! If I can reach that, I'll be saved!

You moved slowly, like a snake, slithering in to snatch up her prey. Your left arm angled in while your right arm stretched out and down. With the concentration of a brain surgeon, you pinched the bottom of your phone between two fingers and gingerly lifted the device.

Unfortunately, you would have made an awful brain surgeon. Your fingers slipped and any hope of entertainment on the plane ride went crashing to the floor. Thinking quickly, you stepped on the phone in order to keep it from slipping further away from you.

Sitting up, you resigned yourself to the torturous fate of a boring plane ride

"~Tasty" the candy crush guy said seductively.

Goddamnit
—————————————————————————

After what felt like forever, your plane finally touched ground. Stepping into the airport, you began windmilling your arms, trying desperately to get the circulation back into your fingers. Avdol and Mr. Joestar watched in mild concern.

"Is she ok? Should we get a medic?" Avdol whispered to his friend.

"I don't know. My intern would say she's 'tweaking out for real bro'". Mr. Joestar narrowed his eyes.

Bruh.

Suddenly, a woman began jumping up and down within the crowd of people "Papa! Over here!"

A look of recognition came across Mr Joestar's face. "Holy!" He grinned and made his way through the crowd. You and Avdol walked behind the older man trying to converse, and still not lose the rest of your group.

"No offense man, but I am never sitting in between the two of you again. It was way too cramped. I couldn't even grab my phone." You complained.

"Y/n, forgive me if I'm wrong, however, couldn't you have just used your stand to teleport your phone to yourself?" Avdol retorted.

Fuck! Why didn't I think of that?

Suddenly, there was a break in the crowd. Mr. Joestar and a middle aged woman with blonde hair stood before you. "Holy, meet my fellow travelers, Muhammad Avdol and Y/n L/n."

You gave a small wave in greeting as the woman introduced herself. "My name is Holy Kujo! It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm your friend's daughter." She gave you a warm smile. "Y/n, was it? You look to be around my son Jotaro's age. I'm sure you'll get along."

Finally! Someone I can actually relate to!

Mr Joestar scratched his head. "Speaking of Jotaro, where is that kid? I figured he would atleast come to the airport to greet his grandpa."

Holy frowned slightly. "That's the thing, Papa." She sighed, clearly upset.

"Jotaro's in jail."

Maybe I won't be relating to anyone after all.

Pt 3: Jailhouse Rock

The car rattled down the streets of Japan, precariously veering from left to right. For some reason, Mr. Joestar had insisted that he drive the four of you to the jail, and for some reason, you all had let him. Now, you were paying the price.

You and Avdol had found yourself pressed up against the back seat. Terror flashed across your eyes as the vehicle tumbled down the road.

Looking towards the front seat, you glanced at Holy Kujo. The blonde was completely unfazed by her fathers antics, smiling passively as you all took a sharp turn.

"How many speeding tickets do you have, Mr. Joestar?" You shouted over the din.

"Not enough for them to take my license away!" The old man replied, and continued to break the law.

Great. I'm going to die here.

You had almost resigned yourself to your fate when you suddenly heard sirens behind the car. Mr. Joestar's foot hit the brakes as the car came screeching to a halt.

With a sigh you relaxed slightly at the lack of movement, only for vertigo to hit you, hard. As you tried to keep your breakfast where it should be, you remembered that if Mr Joestar was taken to jail for reckless driving, your trip would almost certainly be delayed. As much as you had wanted to return home, wasting the opportunity offered by this trip seemed like an awful idea. Besides, you were only going to have to put up with this for a few days.

Atleast I would get to lay in my bed again. And hang out with my friends. Rather than going on a trip with some random old guy and his friend. Does seem like a waste of time and money though.

Your attention was suddenly drawn towards the drivers window being rolled up and the engine roaring to life.

He didn't even get a ticket??? How the fuck did he manage that???

Sensing your curiosity, Mr Joestar's hand reached into the backseat. Between his metal fingers, he held a small, mint colored card. Grasping it, you and Avdol looked upon the contents of the card.

By authority of the Speedwagon Foundation, this card holder is exempt from any and all traffic violations. It is assumed that they have somewhere of utmost importance to be, so please release them promptly. Signed Robert E. O. Speedwagon.

Mr. Joestar brought his hand back up to the front seat and the car jolted into motion once more.

"Yeah! Old man Speedwagon lost a bet with me back when he was alive. I haven't gotten in trouble for a single traffic violation in any vehicle. Not even the plane crashes!"

PLANE CRASHES???

You braced for death as the old man laughed.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Surprisingly, the four of you managed to make it to the jail in one piece. Avdol and you stumbled out of the back of the car as the Joestars walked towards the entrance of the jail, completely unfazed by the ride over.

While you walked into the police station, Holy caught you up on why exactly Jotaro had come to inhabit a jail cell in the first place. "He says he's been possessed by an evil spirit" she explained.

Could he have a stand too? Mr Joestar seems entirely unfazed by the situation, so that must be the case.

As the four of you followed a police officer down the halls of the station, you couldn't help but feel like you were still in the car; racing haphazardly down the road with no control of your life. It scared you it made you want to run away with all your might, and yet you steadily continued to walk at the back of the line, behind Avdol.

After a while, the group came to a halt. "We've been trying to get him to leave the cell, but he just won't go." One officer commented. "Best of luck to you folks."

"Jotaro!" Holy exclaimed "Your grandfather is here to talk to you about the evil spirit that's been tormenting you!"

"SHUT UP BITCH" were the words that reverberated back off the prison walls.

"Ok!" Holy replied cheerily

Oh hell no. I do not like this kid. No one disrespects their mother like that.

"We're here to take you home." Mr Joestar stepped forwards. "What you're really dealing with is called a stand. It may be difficult to work with your stand, however we can help you so it's easier to coexist."

"Nah Jiji. Like I said, I'm staying in here." The voice from the cell seemed to be dead-set on staying locked up.

Mr. Joestar looked into the cell for a few more seconds before turning and throwing his hands up in the air. "Well, I've done all I can do."

Damn! Giving up so easily! That's harsh. Or maybe he's using it as a ploy to convince Jotaro to leave!

While you were deep in thought, Mr Joestar stopped in front of you.

"Y/n, break my grandson out of jail."

... WHAT THE FUCK???????
