Qifrey, by a miracle of magics that nobody in the atelier would rather remember, had been cured of his curse. However, life is not as dandy as it would seem. Qifrey still had an issue. He was going blind, losing almost all eyesight. That made it much harder for him to teach the girls. Olruggio had a plan to fix that. It wasn't to try and fix Qifrey's vision, make him glasses that would fix the vision or even use forbidden magic. Instead, Olruggio was studying, in secret, to take the fifth test of The Pentacle of Proving.
All the while, Olruggio and Qifrey were growing closer and closer than they ever were before. They were holding hands, learning to kiss, learning to love. In a way, it was a dream of Qifrey's come true, while it also was a nightmare. All of the sensations that come with physical contact took the air out of his lungs, and his reaction time wasn't prepared. Still, the two of them tried their best to work through old boundaries together, earning each other's trust back again for the thousandth time.
