Anya was a happy dog. At first she lived with a family that didn’t really care for her. One day they left her on the side of the road and never came back. But she was found by a nice man who brought her to a house with more dogs. It was nice there and she loved to play with the other dogs. But she didn’t feel like that was her forever home.
She met one of her dads a few days later. Anya instantly fell in love with him because he was so good at cuddles. The next day he went home with him.
From now on she lived in a really big house with a nice backyard. Her dad cuddled with her a lot, they went daily on nice long walks and played fetch in the backyard.
Her other dad visited one day. At first he didn’t seem to like Anya. But Anya was determined to change his mind and wormed her way in into his heart. She knew that both her dads loved her very much. But her first dad with the curly her was often alone with Anya.
Her other dad with the black hair only visited for short amount of times at first.
The dad with the curly hair was sometimes very sad. He wouldn’t leave the bed and just lay there the whole day. Anya could sense that it wasn’t his fault that he couldn’t entertain her. So she decided to do her best to make him feel better. She cuddled with him as much as possible and brought him socks as presents. That made her dad smile some times.
When the dad with the black hair was there her dad with the curly hair was much happier. And one day the dad with the black her just stayed at their house and didn’t leave again. That made Anya and her first dad very happy. They cuddled a lot together on the couch, all three of them. It was lovely.
Her second dad found many adventurous walks in the forest and to the top of hills. They were really exciting. Anya had learned over time that he was more carful and had a quieter nature.
But he also loved to cuddle and play with Anya.
The days where her first dad was sad weren’t gone entirely but Anya now had the help of her second dad to make him feel better. They were a good team. But her second dad sometimes also had bad days. They were different. He wasn’t lethargic. Instead his breathing changed and sometime he rocked back and forth. Anya’s had to lay on top of him and nuzzle her fur into his face. That made him calm down.
Sometimes her first dad was already laying on top of him. Then Anya would lay down next to her second dad’s hand so he could feel her fur.
Her dads loved each other very much and they also loved Anya very much. She knew that. They sometimes had bad days but together they made each other feel better. That is what makes them family. So, Anya was a really happy dog with two dads who cared for her and each other. What more could she wish for?
