Six scrutinized your face, trying to tell if you were lying. He was usually pretty good at recognizing when someone was full of shit, but he was having a hard time reading you. He stiffened when you put a hand on his knee. You pushed on it gently and he slowly opened his legs for you; you stepped between them. You continued staring each other down and Six grew more uncertain by the second. You raised your empty hand and he braced for the slap. It never came. Instead, you carded your fingers through his hair.
He stared at you. You did it again, an amused smile lifting the corner of your mouth. “Something wrong, Sierra?” you asked lightly.
