Tokyo, Japan
Summer 2018
The Waning
When Gojo Satoru appears to sleep late in the afternoon, it just means that he finally has found time to be less important than he usually is. Two hours later, three of his wonderful first year students students entered his study without his permission. Two were gawking about he is able to seem human while one other only gushes about the expensive furniture.
He wakes up, chuckles, then heads on to get the rest of the day done.
But today was a bit different than usual. After accompanying his students, the air around went on a standstill. He wasn't scared of course, he is Gojo Satoru. He wasn't also alert, for he does not feel any malice or threat at all.
Who could pose a threat to him? He is the Strongest.
But when the sky is darker than usual despite the moon being full and bright, he ushered Ijichi to take the students back to campus.
"There's a Grade 1 curse just 5 kilometers, might as well take care of it."
He said to Ijichi, but to the rest of the world he lied. There was no curse at all. In fact, the neighborhood 5 kilometers away was as peaceful as a temple. He just couldn't shake off this feeling. It wasn't dread, or uneasiness and he couldn't understand.
He turned around to the direction of an alleyway a few meters away.
"Take us with you, sensei!"
Gojo chuckled and glared at Ijichi instead.
Ijichi flinched, and raised his voice to the students. Thankfully, Megumi understood both Ijichi's and Gojo's intentions.
When they left for a while, he removed his blindfold and pocketed it.
As soon as he did, he looked around. Nothing seems to have changed.
Then, a strange atmosphere occured. The air around him paused. When he realized this he did too. The few Grade 4 cursed spirits around him dissipated even though he had done nothing and the moon suddenly became too big and shone as bright as the Six Eyes. When he looked up, he couldmsee everything, just as usual, but one though came to mind:
Darkness has come
He knew it was not here or there, but the whole world shifted, as if to welcome a new dweller. Gojo Satoru have never felt this before.
He knew what fear and anxiety was, but this was awe. Awe and realization that something big will come crashing down to the Jujutsu Society and rearrange everything.
He could only pray the moon was on his side.
Still looking up at the moon and darkness, he asked, "Who might you be?"
He chuckled, put on his blindfold once again. The air was unchanged and still but he had acknowledge and moved on.
"I will find you."
Kumano River, Wakayama Prefecture
At the Same Time
The mouth of the river was serene and still. The water shined brightly that it looked like it carried the stars in them. The moon shone and served as a light to the one and only being resting upon the river.
He was resting on the botton of the river. He look like he drowned, until he opened his eyes.
The boy, seemingly foreign and not Japanese, rose up with solemn eyes.
His eyes held no fear, no uncertainty, yet no knowledge. He was a blank canvas and pure as untouched snow.
The hair, wet from the river, glistened upon the moonlight. From afar, it looked like he descended from somewhere above. But one cannot be too sure about it.
Sapphire eyes scanned his surroundings: calm river and a dense rustling forest.
He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding the whole time.
"Where am I?"
He said as he trudged towards the nearest land.
He shook his head of the remaining water and glanced towards where he first realized consciousness.
The shine of the moon followed him, as if eager to give him some light.
Killua was finally awake.
He trudged towards the dense forest for a goal: Survey the area.
He jumped, as high as his feet and Nen could take up and surveyed the forest. Of course he was confused. He was just on a trip with his sister. A smll and peaceful one. The sun was up and shining when he fell asleep on a landscape while hearing his sister chase bees.
He was confused, who wouldn't be? The majestic sun became the white cold moon when he woke up and suddenly he was drowning.
He did not panic, that was the first things he learned. Instead, he chose to analyze his surroundings. Dread would come out once in a while:
His sisters, whatcwould happen to them with him gone?
So he knew that his goal was to walk straight forward and find a way back to them.
When he landed in the dense forest, the trees obscured his view of the moon. He silently sprinted, conserving energy whilerunning as fast as he could. Senses of full alert while his back towards the river.
He headed northeast. For what reason? No reason at all, just the mere gut feeling.
Without Gospeed, it will take him at least 2 hours to travel 500 kilometers. Coincidentally, it will also take one man two hours to get back to the Jujutsu School.
By the time Killua had stepped foot in Tokyo, Gojo Satoru had went to report to the higher ups.
